I don't even get that far mate! If I right-click on a drive (any drive) nothing happens...

Wouldn't be because I've got auslogics disk defrag installed would it? Can't imagine it would be.

could be idk,i just use windows own defrag, works fine for me,wont samsung magician tool let you re-enable defrag on the drives? aslong as you run wei after it should disable defrag and enable trim for your ssd, your hdd's should still defrag themselves

Ha, yeah, how weird... 'untuning' through magician allows windows defrag to run again, on all drives and tuning it stops it from running on any drive

How do my benchmarks look, am I definitely connected to a 6gb port?

it looks ok,you should be able to disable defrag on the ssd in that defrag program you use

you can install the intel rapid storage drivers if you want, should be on your mb website, they should improve figures a bit more

msahci, that's the default ms driver isn't it?

Would the driver my mobo manufacturer (gigabyte) be better?

Sorry qual I didn't see your post until now. The guide is very up to date, I used it to set up my SSD about two months ago and when showing a work collegue the recommended SSD list I noticed the author had updated quite a few things (even added a Windows 8 guide for SSD optimization).

I wouldn't use any page files tweaks though, afaik he said there wasn't much of a benefit so you're better off leaving that one out.
