You will do if you're copying a lot of files. If you're going to be using it for anything else, then it'll still be miles faster than a VelociRaptor. Also, its SATA II not SATA 11

Sata II is not a reason to not get an SSD... I would recommend it on a Sata I connection!

It's not about the sequential reads... it's all about the low latency random access.
