Stalker 2

Hi all, what kind of state is S2 in now? When it first launches I know there were a number of negative things about the bugs and people not being able to progress part a certain point but I also have read they have done several large patches addressing bugs. Would you say now is a good time to pick it up or would you say to wait a little while longer?
Id say now is good, most if not all of the early game progression bugs are sorted. By the time you reach mid game, the next large update will already be out which hopefully should make the experience better for all.

For me personally I'm glad they addressed the shader cache issue. But most of my side quests are still bugged and wont complete. Don't want to progress further in the story as im around 60% through. il wait until the next update. Please be it soon!!

Finished this last night with no bugs to speak of since the first few updates, however the amount of enemy's spawning in front of me in the final levels was insane, id kill 3 guys then 3 more would insta spawn 10ft in front of me, in the end i just sprinted past em all. other than that its been one of the better games ive played in a long time!

edit - whilst i'm on that point, how the hell was there so many monolith available in that area, did they just happen to keep a battalion stationed there. You have to run the gauntlet before entering the area yet upon arrival its already choka with them. Its one of those really annoying immersion breaking gameplay that some games use, you spend event-less hours solving puzzles, climbing & exploring to get to an objective only for a ton of enemy's to appear just as you get there

Would that be in Pripyat? Still yet to get there.

Seems the last patch buggered up frame gen in ref to frame time graph? Motion seems fine however...?

I'm getting this in CP2077...and lol when I tried ultra performance!

It got...funky, to say the least!

Since the last update this game is broken for me, i can get as far as the main menu clicking on continue causes my pc to crash and restart

No such problems with any other game so i am sure it game related or maybe the latest nvidia driver... dunno.

Tried loading a different save?

had this sitting for a bit guys.. how is it now?? still very buggy? or playable?

Performance is still bad in places, AI cheats and sees you all too well through vegetation, night, etc., also being spot on while shooting at you. The economy in general is superficial, badly implemented and takes away from the fun. Seems like an early access. I'd wait.

I'm 7 hours short of 200 hours so I'd say it's playable and has been for a while, no game is everyone's cup of tea but this is my game of the decade for sure. There are some fixes and quality of life issues to be addressed but nothing that should stop you enjoying the game as long as you understand it's not hand-holdy, you are vulnerable in the Zone, and swigging an energy drink & running away from a fight is sometimes the better option.
