I'm trying to determine if its worth upgrading to a 9800x3d. I can see a lot of the new games announced such as the new Doom has high CPU requirements but usually those spec sheets are more marketing plus in my mind I still feel like the 5800x3d is still a very capable cpu.

Nah. Just wait until AM6. Same with your GPU. Skip a gen and save pennies to upgrade both.

I am finding difficult just to avoid buying the game with out you lads bringing in hardware upgrades for a better experience. .

It runs pretty well tbh other than distance pop in/out but that can probably be sorted in settings or with mods (cant be bothered personally)
