Stalker 2

Maybe this

Geez that forum is full of braindead slop. One post is someone claiming to be a "non binary lgbtq lesbian with moonfluid leanings" and this person then goes on to say the game is anti Russian and they should love Russia instead

Btw I didn't know what "moonfluid" is, but apparently it means your sexual gender changes with the moon cycle... I **** you not

I'm sure Russia loves them

Just fired this up out of curiosity, it certainly looks impressive and you immediately get the Stalker feel. Only getting about 60-70fps (maxed out 4K) though with frame gen on and definitely feeling a bit of mouse lag. Switched motion blur off, absolutely hideous. Will toy with a few settings to sort the mouse out. The voice work is worse, why are they all British? May well wait for a few patches.

Wow shader compile, never known anything take that long. Guess I need a faster Pci4 than the current nvme ssd.

Looks good though, burned most my gaming time waiting, know for next time I guess.

Shader comp has nothing to do with your SSD lol. It's maxing out the CPU.

It took a bit over 3 mins on first launch on my 12700KF, every launch after recompiles some shaders but this time it's much faster at around 40 seconds.

If you update the game or gfx drivers then the intiial compilation has to be redone again.

Shader compilation is largely related to your cpu performance

It took 1.3 minutes on my 7950x for the initial compilation. And each time I run the game it takes another 10 seconds

That's weird, that's exceptionally slow

but I saw someone on reddit with an Intel 7600k claim it took 1 hour and 3 minutes for them. Maybe the game just hates low core count CPUs
On the plus side, no mouse lag, everything set to epic, performance is good.
Not had to adjust anything, swings and roundabouts. Too tired for anymore though.

7600 here, no more than 2 minutes, if it wasn't for all the posts I wouldn't have noticed.

Played 5 ish hours of the game now, no bugs or anything, it nails the original vibe.

Only issue I'm finding is the mouse lag, tried the smoothing .ini tweaks and it didn't really help (I don't think) it's ok until you get in a firefight, then clicking heads is harder than it should be.
May try without frame gen, or frame gen through the lossless scaling program.

Bought today and done the shader load. But in the menu it flickers a lot and hard to choose an option? I have other controllers connected like yoke and throttles etc maybe its conflicting?
