STALKER: Call of Pripyat

Just cancelled my pre-order of AvP for this.
Loved SoC, and Clear Sky was also very decent, so can't wait to get back in the Zone :D

Will be interested to listen to the soundtrack CD that comes with the Special Edition as well.
 
Can't beleive I actually forgot about this! Now I need to decide between Bioshock 2 and this :(

I think the deciding factor will have to be which one is less buggy ;)
 
Apparently its much better than the awful clear sky but with the advances that the modding scene has made in Shadow of Chernobyl to be honest i'm waiting for some real mods to come out for it to bring it up to the standard of say Oblivion Lost 2.2

I didn't realise it was out this week though? maybe i'll pick it up anyway. Need to stop buying so many games!
 
My game arrived this morning. Installed fine. However, when I try and run it, it doesn't work...

The X-Ray engine is listed in my processes, but the game doesn't run at all. Anyone else had this? System specs in sig.

the guys that have bought the new ATI 5 series are going to be happy.
When the game starts up it promotes ATI and AMD, makes a change from nvidia....

Goddam, my pre-oreder failed as I forgot to update my card details. :(

I orderd the Special Edition for £17.99. I'm tempted to go into town to try and find it but I fear it'll be at a rip-off price from somewhere like Game or HMV.

£29.99 in most high st places for the special edition.
 
I still have a £10 gift voucher from Christmas so that'd make it 19.99 which isn't too bad. The only place I can use it that *might* just sell it is HMV. I don't think Smiths or Comet sell games anymore.

Nope. The xray engine is listed in my processes are running. But the game doesn't appear. It all installed properly, so I'm really confused. I had this happen once with a STALKER game, SOC I think, but it fixed itself. Bit annoying, was really looking forward to playing it :(

I initially had what is probably the same problem, but got it fixed. Post here if you still haven't gotten it to work.
