STALKER: Call of Pripyat

Does anyone know what triggers you being able to get the Svarog detector? I've go the mission that i need to use it but can't seem to find it/buy it/acquire it anywhere!
 
How many people should I recruit to go to Pripyat?
I have the guy in the tower, a military guy that was sitting in the scientist bunker and Vano but is there another person that will go?
 
There's a monolith squad you can get to join freedom or duty and the squad commander is recruitable after you do that, they're near one of the swamps.

I will look out for them, I haven't seen them yet I think, are they in Jupiter?

On the other hand I think I might just have gone solo, I expect they A.I. to die as soon as I start the mission :p
 
the squad is round the back of the AA complex in jupiter

you have to have completed two quests to get the monolith dude

1) give some pda (god knows which one?) to one of the faction leaders (duty or freedom)

2) give the pda with the secret about duty founder to the same faction as you did in 1)

I accidently sold the pda in 1) to owl and so couldnt persuade a faction to bring the monolith dudes into the station
 
I went with Strider, Vano and Zulu, only Vano made it through alive... though i did get Zulu's LMG at least from his corpse.
 
the others are usefull in the tunnels with thier shoties/machineguns but he has a sniper rifle and is crap :p

although it's a damn good custom svd2um very light and accurate (better than nimbles), so if you like a nice short quick sniper it;s always good to find a way to get him to die in teh tunnels :p
 
*shrug* who knows, what guy had the sniper rifle? Either way both Zulu and Strider died in the same place for absolutely no reason. I reloaded a quicksave after not paying attention and getting mobbed by an army of Snorks when i opened the door only to find them both dead :S

I think I also sold the first PDA to Owl so I guess I will stop looking for the last person and go with it tonight.

I have a drunk (Zulu), a scared bandit (Vano) and a military guy in a scientist suit, not really the team I was hoping for :o
 
he has the short bulpup svd.

It's a custom one like the one from nimble, it's a lot lighter than normal (and even nimbles) but more accurate than his.
 
Finally got my copy today, I managed to get the metal box version with the lighter etc. It is all in german (which I knew it would be), deos any one know of a language patch/mod for converting to english?

Didn't play last night as I was busy playing Shadow of Chernobyl with STALKER complete 2009 :cool:

Great fun and it brought back memories, I am still contemplating taking on the guys at the overpass with just a pistol and hope I can kill one and quickly steal his AK :p
