Standing Desks - Cheap Ones worth it?

Super pleased with my E7 Pro. I've heard a priority is to get ones with "C" shape legs. It seems most of the Pro/spenny models appear like that. This things feels weapons grade. I went for the 180x80 top which whilst being chipboard is solid and the laminate feels like a proper office desk.

Frame was only £280 but had to play their stupid timed-discount code game (check the FlexiSpot website and you'll see whatever guise of nonesense they are doing now). The top was £190 but it was late by like 6 days so I argued a £50 discount.

Looking at buying this, thoughts after useage? it is between this and https://www.ikea.com/gb/en/p/uppspel-gaming-desk-black-s69430192/

I am looking to consolidate 2 x 140cm desks to a 180cm desk, and both look okay.

Thanks!

It's been brilliant. Can't fault it at all. It's nice having precise height adjust (it shows you in cm). Haven't used the usb for charging anything. Just nice and solid. I WFH like 12hrs/day and it gets a beating
Think I will go with that then! Will be in same boat and WFH, so will be using all day... Did you get any of the accessories?

No I was already way out of my budget lol. The velcro cover underneath is nice; the desk plugs can be got cheap enough off of Amazon. I haven't final fixed it to be honest - but I don't feel I am missing anything.

Oh I did get a riser for the monitor!

Can you attach the "hard drive" to the leg so it moves in sync with the desk height on these?

Didn't realise decent standing desks had got so cheap now! Last I looked they were the best part of a grand.
Haven't heard it called "hard drive" for a while lol. Yeah you can. I bought a hanging bracket 15 years ago I need to recover as it was badass.

Yeah that looks to be the kind of thing, though looking at that picture I can't help it feel it looks a little garish...PC's are much prettier these days!

How are you finding your desk? The chair being placed under with it at "full mast" did make me chuckle!
It is a game changer -- I come back to the house "knackered" from a day in the office (in a good way, I am getting actual "exercise").

Chair under desk when it's upright is a staple I'm afraid --- I work in an office with hundreds of standing desks; this is just how it's done these days :D

I guess it makes sense to put the chair there, out of the way hah.

I'll definitely keep an eye out for deals, cheers!

Going to be an expensive year for my office space, got a new chair on the way (Steelcase Gesture) and am looking to build a new machine later this year too! Exciting times :)
