Star Swarm - Oxide bench thread

I would like to know the CPU and gpu usage more than the actual fps figure, it's all fine showing mantle doubling performance but if a cpu and gpu are not even breaking a sweat then what it shows is how poorly made and optimised the engine is.
 
Like I told you in the other thread and a couple of posts up, the rules are simple. Show me one person who has followed the rules and I will add them. Now give it a rest.

Rules? are they all breaching those rules? Thats a shame. did you explain to them they are breaching the rules?

It seems members are missing your rules as it hasn't been updated for a huge chunk, for most of the thread, can i suggest you explain again where people are going wrong?

It seems a shame to leave it as it is, clearly people aren't understanding your rules. :)

Just noticed that there have been a lot of posts and only two entries posted in the OP. I don't care either way, so no need to get your nose out of shape.

I'm guessing that's because people failed to read to the OP?
You're already typing you post, adding in your CPU/GPU with your copied text from the bench results, how hard is it to add "official entry" to the title?

Maybe it's not my nose out of shape?
 
just a suggestion, but have 3 tables for results, DirectX (Extreme preset) and DirectX (Extreme with Deferred Contexts Enabled) as well as Mantle

I couldn't care less about motion blur but it'll just muddy the waters fiddling with it now
 
Just a suggestion to save the thread from failure. :)

I am not sure why you and Humbug are getting all worked up about it. If you both bothered to look, there is entry after entry and I have no idea if they were run with the file in the OP or just a random file. Most of them don't even say what GPU was being used. It is nigh on impossible to work out, hence the reason for adding "official entry" to the title (like Andybird has) and that makes it much easier for me to sort out.

Relax the rules? It isn't that hard and I am not requiring GPU-Z/CPU-Z screen shots and a screenie of the text file or a video of the run.

Ohh and how is your Tomb Raider bench thread going Matt?

so a 4.6ghz latest intel chip plus titan equals a 4 year old AMD 3.2ghz with 7870, and we are supposed to in any way take this application seriously?
I'm sorry, but even if this game was single threaded entirely a 4930k should wipe the floor with a phenom II

that plus deferred contexts disabled by default and motion blur that reduces FPS to less than a 3rd of what it should be, I am calling total BS on this benchmark

I was hoping to get some useful information out of this thread, but, again, down to some of the vocal minority has brought this section down to a laughing stock.

By all means, go and open another thread named "Star Swarm - Oxide bench thread"

Please, just don't put any pesky 'rules' for me to follow? I don't want to know which GPU/CPU or indeed what preset of the bench people used....i just want the numbers :rolleyes:
