Took me 13 hours to download the 7gb file using the official downloader

ha it took me 60 odd hours

finnaly downloaded and installed it and it wont run tells me i dont have permissions to view the launcher whats that all about??

How many people are going to go down the Klingon route out of interest... and can you do both?

Have a char thats a klingon for PvP and a char thats a star fleet officer for PvE ??

They seem to have put an awful lot more content into the star fleet side of the game. A group of us really wanted to roll as klingons but I can't help feel we're going to miss out an so much content because of it.

I think I'm going Klingon.

Yes, you can have both. In the beta there were only two character slots, not sure if there will be more for release. Tbh you don't really need more than one for each playable race. There is a lot less content for Klingons, but don't let that put you off. They are different and actually really fun to play.

I guess if you think of Klingon's as creeps in LOTRO, they have little content and are used heavily for PvP but still a LOT of people play them, Klingon's will be the same deal I think.

Also: there's a 200mb~ patch to get this morning.

My understanding is that you have the "unlock" the ability to go Klingon at some point? Something about there's only one real tutorial, that being the Starfleet one. Once you get the basics down you can choose Klingon. The Klingon one is a pretty ruthless PvP one iirc, just like the rest of the Klingon content.

Could be entirely wrong about this, seem to remember reading it on TenTon Hammer though.

was in closed beta but didn't play at all luckly I got the old client that needs to patch about 5gig worth of data but its a lot faster then using the downloader lucky for me

Don't think i'm gonna get to play this a lot when its out on the 2nd of feb Mass effect 2 comes first then i'll play this
