Star Trek Online

enjoying this a lot so far :)

how do I add friends... character@handle??

edit: also when on away missions, how do you go back to your ship?

To add friends, press "o". Go to your (I think "friends" tab at the top) and at the bottom insert their @handle.

OR

Go the the bottom right of the main website and insert their handle there.

To exit an away mission, there is a beam up button on the second row below your minimap/above your mission objectives.

Quick question for those that have played, do you just create the captain and get assigned a bridge crew or do you get any say in their race/creation?

Also much less importantly, reckon you could knock up a decent approximation of teenwolf in the character creator? :p

TY

I've got a few friends from old guilds together on vent, and no one is having any luck in adding each other. :o

You get to choose your bridge crew - not a huge choice for your first one, but you get a little more selection for the rest.

And no, probably not :)

You start by picking which career path you want, science, engineer or one other (I forget which) then pick from one of 8 or 9 races. You then customize your uniform/character and choose a name and a ship name.

The tutorial takes you through basic controls and how to fight (e.g. blowing up objects near Borg or enemies means the enemies will take more damage, pressing C for manual aim and better damage) and you then pick your first officer... you then learn how to fly and fight with your ship including shields etc...

Then your first away mission :)

Great fun sofar!

This ^^

The game is a little bugged, rough around the edges and needs some story content for the Klingons. However, it certainly is fun and gets a lot more fun the further you get e.g. fleet actions - and you don't even have to wait until you are a high level :)

We couldn't even add each other to a team during the first part of the tutorial :o

Shall try again later when I can actually get back into the game :p

As soon as you exist the tutorial and arrive on the starbase around Earth you can. Glad you guys are enjoying it.

Brilliant, thanks for the help mate.

I can certainly see myself spending an awful long time on this baby :) Easily living up to my expectations so far. Although I am worried about lack of Klingon content as my main character was going to end up a Klingon... but time should sort that out.
