Star Trek Online

Just ordered it at HMV, wonder when i get the headstart preorder code. Well was cheapest i could find for 24.99, i missed the boat big time when amazon had it for 17.99. :(

Don't think HMV are doing it anymore (hasn't been advertised as including the headstart or beta for a week or so). I think Game or digital distributors are the only way to get in now...
 
SkeeterUK, beware, I got mine preordered from HMV a couple of weeks back and still haven't received any codes from them. However a friend of mine preordered more recently from them and got an email already!

Sent em an email and left a comment in the review bit. Really need it in time for the head start lol.

I don't think they have updated that for a while. Were you not in the beta? At least you will get the key instantly from an online digital purchase (well, certainly from Direct2Drive anyway).
 
I was in the beta, by grabbing a key from a website. Also i wished they offered a size of tshirt u get cos L might not fit me, as i usually get xx or xxxlarge cos i like em big and baggy.
 
Trying to work out what my plan is for Friday.

a) Take most of Friday off, sleep most of the morning so that I can stay up extra late (or most of the night Friday).

b) Just play for a few hours Friday evening, but aim to get some sleep for a good full day Saturday.

Hmm, decisions decisions...

What are the rest of you doing?
 
Working till 4-5pm then kicking my router when the servers fail to come up :p but I'm off all weekend so will be mammoth sessions to get to Lt. Cmdr
 
Booked friday and monday off. Going to start playing mass effect 2, will switch to STO at 6 if the servers are playable then ill continue online probably through to monday evening ^_^ Pizza and kfc... god im going to feel so bad on tuesday.

Yes, I am also taking most of next week off (because I will be working pretty much the whole of the following week). Will be stocking up on quick/junk food for the weekend :D
 
assuming server stability ill be back from work before 6, grab some grub, log on, and run on caffeine till i collapse at some point on sunday...pizza will likely be involved at some point


kinda like most weekends really lol (god i should grow up...)

c) Get Mass Effect 2 for when the servers are all over the place for the first week or so. :)
 
Ill be on as much as I can Fri day night, then most of Sat&Sun.

One question I have for the wiser...during beta I only got to lvl 7 and i felt like i hit a wall and was taking ages to get skill points. I assume I should have left the first sector at this point for a higher level sector? Is there a map out there showing level ranges for the various sectors?
 
i just did them in sequence and I got sent out to different blocks doing the patrol missions, which I enjoyed :) then I just did the others as I came across them, Took me 22hrs to Lt. Cmdr.
