Star Trek: Picard

Less said about that, the better. I bet they thought that this character was going to be great, sweeping in with his sword and saving Picard from some angry mob, but in reality it was just jarring and not fitting in with Star Trek at all. Possible the 2nd or third worst new character they introduced.

Still at least give him a proper send off!

Now that picard is a android bit like data and now data is back i wonder if they consider themselves brothers or maybe data now thinks of picard as daddy or something since he is older But data can now say he aint the only one now.

Season 1 had that group of androids based off data, built by maddox (the bloke that wanted to chop up data and went to court etc in tng) and Altan Soong (son of Noonian).... so he isn't alone and is arguably the father of an entirely new species lol....

Understandabe that you may have forgotten though, it wasn't the best season and they've kind of just ignored season 1 as if it didn't exist like season 2 lol

Im gona pretend s1 and 2 never happened personally. But ur right. What i was trying to say probs badly was how much closer picard and data can be now since there both androids now.

Just watched Ep9, is there only 10 episodes for this, are they really going to fix everything in a single episode, is it normal length episode or a double-length one?

Think they missed a trick killing who they did, probably the best new character IMHO, much better than anyone introduced in S1/S2..

Nah he's gone, theres only 1 episode left no, so not enough time to save the Galaxy and find a resurrection scroll...

Bridge on the D doesn't look as wide as it did, don't remember them all sitting that close, I would have also expected more than just the D being usable, given some of the other ships there that were newer (Voyager for one) there must have been a better choice, nostalgia or not...

Had the same discussion and I was told the last episode is a double. Also agree the one who died was the best new character. Best thing for me was seeing the (spoiler) leave the dock and no I don't mean the one at the end the one at Earth with the fireworks.

Newer ships were all networked from what has been said in the series.

The only reason the D wasn't was because Geordie had been rebuilding it and could see the issues inherent with a system that could allow full remote control of the fleet (IIRC he said he fought against it).
So even assuming another newer/better ship was there, it would have been useless given the threat unless they could remove the remote system, which they didn't have the time or manpower to do, for it to be usable and meet the stated requirements it would have to be fully integrated with multiple backups, so by design very hard to remove or disable.

I think the season 2 ending was the foretell of this season ending.

Jurado at the end of s2 says she will be the gate keeper of a yet unknown threat to come through… and oh look s3 has just discovered that unknown in the Borg

The borg didn't come through the portal the other borg were staying to guard, and its not as if they're an unknown threat.

Just seen a clip on Youtube, the CGI quality has gone backwards IMO, you could be mistaken for thinking this was a fan production.

I wouldn't say so, the enterprise d in the hangar looks like a model virtually, even looking at the bussard collectors its like you could touch them, looks very solid to me. That being said some fan productions are getting up there in quality.

I've got a wild idea... how about the next big bad has the thickest South African accent there is and make it so it definitely doesn't fit the species like that squidboy in Mando.

i wonder if there is a some connection between the hive mind of the borg and the great link. ie did the borg come across the changelings long time ago and get the idea of the hive mind from the great link
