Star Trek: Picard

Talk of a Picard film being made. Not sure how I feel about this. I think season 3 was the best send off they could give and he's not getting any younger. I hope they end not bothering tbh.
Should have quite a while ago instead of pandering to this overly twee nonesense. It's gone a bit like Dr Who. If youre a fanboy youll be fine.

I never made it through the 1st season and a mate told me to skip the 2nd and watch the 3rd. Im glad I did. I watched every episode of The Next Generation back in the day and Picard Season 3 was right up there with the best

We finally got around to starting season 3 this week, few episodes left I think, much better than I remember seasons 1 and 2 being.

The only shame is I wish this Picard spinoff had been filmed and released much sooner after TNG finished, not ~25+ years later when the TNG actors have aged so much and would be retired if doing a "normal job."

Season 3 is much better. Cheesy as hell but watchable.

Watched the final episode last night, very cheesy for last ~5mins but a far better season than the earlier two seasons. Definitely preferred how TNG ended, with Picard finally joining the other senior officers in their regular poker game.
And they still haven’t greenlit Star Trek Legacy despite major fan wantage. Makes me wonder what they’re smoking there.

A bit of a thread revival here. I just got around to watching Picard Season 2 and 3.

I gave my views on Season 1 earlier in this thread, but TLDR, I hoped they wouldn't make a season 2. And because of that I had been putting off watching the final 2 seasons. But a few weeks I decided to bite the bullet and finish it out.

Wow, Season 1 was bad but season 2 was worse. To be honest I struggled to finish it and several times I nearly decided to stop and not go back.

I am glad I didn't. Season 3 is fantastic. It's trip back to the best days of Star Trek: The Next Generation. I think they got everything just right. Yes, there were plot holes but what would a good episode to Star Trek: TNG be without massive plot holes?? The nostalgia was there without been the centre of everything.

It was a very fitting send off for the TNG crew. And I hope they don't make another episode.

However, saying that, I would love to see a series made with Seven of Nine as Captain.
