Star Trek: Picard

Except The Mandalorian is on Disney+ which hasn't been launched here so it definitely is piracy.

Yes, I have no issue with Piracy under certain circumstances. If Disney+ was available I would have purchased it though.

In fact, I still may do as there are some good looking Marvel shows coming up.

Soji is clearly the Borg Queen, and this is yet another temporal paradox story where it's supposedly high-IQ that Picard (locutus) helps create the very thing that assimilated him and it neatly ties into an entrance by Q.

;)

/could be very wrong, but i'm rather tired of temporal stories.

Oh and somehow it all relates to the Hobus hypernova in some way for extra High-IQ brownie points.

Well that would certainly bring the show around to be a bit more exciting.....I really like it

I know TNG first encountered them in the Delta quadrant, but I guess they could have come from anywhere. They do seem to be based there for some reason though.

I'd like a proper origin story, I mean right back to how the first one become linked with others. This might be it!

There's nothing wrong with duck lips....although I was looking a bit lower down most of the time. She's another one packing a great set of photons.

Still remember that shower scene.

do you guys think they will resolve this story arc in the first season? Or is it going to be ridiculous cliff hanger and meh...

I definately want a "hairs on the back of your neck standing up" cliff hanger type moment. Last scene new borg cube drops out of warp, Sojis eyes turn black as she connects telepathically with the collective, Enterprise E flys in, picard beams above, uniform on, sits in capitals chair, shields up red alert, USS Titan drops out of warp with Riker as captain, new klingon flagship out of warp with Worf as captain, Voyager drops out of warp, definant comes steam rolling in......fades to credits.

Weirdly I've never watched TOS, but I do think the TOS crew made the best movies.

Specifically 2-4 (trilogy) and 6.

In fact I think Star Trek VI: Undiscovered Country is the best of all the Trek movies and they were all quite old by then.

The opening will never be bettered. The font used for the text, soundtrack and the explosion. Perfection!

Episode 6 was better

Unfortunately it feels like they are trying too hard to avoid making it another TNG whilst filling episodes with nods to it. In fact all the best bits are these.

I’m watching best of both worlds tonight,

Finally, I don't think Star Trek is any better than Star Wars, they are on even keel for me :D

Right, I let most things on this forum fly over me but this is a step too far!

Mods, can you please ban him from this thread until he sees sense :p:D

Gene will be turning in his grave (well, he would if he was buried)

Well for some reason I have started watching TNG again. You know what, season 1 isn't that bad. There are actually some really good episodes in it.

I forgot how light hearted it was, and how they made data the comedic fool. Last night I watched the episode where Picard first played the private investigator in the holodeck for the first time. There was an amazing scene where Beverly crusher and Picard were going back to his room *wink* *wink* and data butted in with some amazing one liner. Those were the days.

The cast definately came off as having fun playing their roles, and to be honest, I don't think anyone took it very seriously until the later seasons.

This wasn't what I wanted for Jean-Luc Picard. I blame the writers.
We're nearly at the end of the first season, and it's been average at best.

Episode 8 was awful.

The borg should have given the romulans a good hiding, yet they all got sucked out an airlock.....sevens character adds nothing to the story. In fact, I'm not really sure anyones adding anything to the story at the minute.

enough with the f word already, we get it.....yawn.

I'm a bit disappointed with it.

This would have worked better as a computer game, not a tv series.

If the armarda at DS7 brings in the Enterprise E, and it all kicks off big time, then it 'could' end on a decent high and set us up for season 2.....but it won't

Today's episode completely confused me. Lots going on for no apparent reason. I don't know what the plot is anymore. None of the characters behaved consistent with their personality so far. It's like a completely different team of people worked on it.

Just wait till the next episode, two characters will be sat round a table going through the entire plot for the umpteenth time
