Star Trek: Section 31

why would s31 be about action, sloan wasnt much into action, more like a spy keeping low key. I think those in charge of trek are way to focused on new generation of ppl not the oldies who want more of the old. This action orientated content is meh, i want my slice of life trek shows back please.

It’s almost like they don’t know anything about the history of the shows or just don’t care.

Well I honestly thought discovery was the lowest form of star-trek ever created and it really couldn't get any worse. Picard was crap as well apart from the last season.

Based on that trailer I might as stick pins in my eyes and get a lobotomy.

I would love a Star Trek series that's a little more darker something that had episodes along the lines of DS9 In the Pale Moonlight. Instead they make this...

I'll still watch it but only to see how bad it is so I can moan about it on the Internet

This is the way :) The moaning is more fun than the show, AKA the Discovery thread is fantastic.

Bloody hell man. They are trying to kill the franchise :(

Just want some TNG era Star Trek for god sakes. Not the rubbish they keep putting out these days.

Wtf was that trailer?

Seriously, there's a huge star trek following who just want the old star treks remade with a new story and it would make bank.

Then someone comes out with this? The star trek name will put off casual viewers who might like whatever this is. And the trailer will out off people attracted the star trek badge.

Because that was Sloans section 31, the one that was shown to be the Federation equivalent of the Tal Shiar or the Obsidan Order, not the discovery one which as well as apparently recruiting Space Hitler and wanting us to forget that she ate Saru's brother in front of him, ends up with characters running around with a section 31 badge yelling "I WORK FOR SECTION 31, ITS SUPER SUPER SECRET, YOU SHOULDNT KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS, BUT THATS WHO I WORK FOR, STEVEN THIS IS CLEM FANDANGO, CAN YOU HEAR ME? ", of course they'll do things directly, because it's silly.

New Star Trek just sucks. SNW could have been great, but even this feels more like a live action cartoon than serious show, it's just embarrassing now.

Oh My, this looks awful. Does not look like anything like Star Trek. To me it looks like a badly done Mad Max movie but in Space,

The comments below the video are great though!! Two of my favourites are:-

"Error 404: Trek Not found"

And

"Disney: No one can destroy an intellectual property like we can.
Paramount: Hold my Romulan Ale."

“Star Trek: Section 31,” originally developed as a series, is finally coming to audiences as a feature-length film. The project, covering the extremely secretive Section 31 division of Starfleet — essentially its black ops espionage arm — debuts on Paramount+ on Friday, Jan. 24, 2025, CBS Studios announced Saturday at New York Comic Con.

Just what nobody asked for. :D

I'd love to say that I don't give half of a solitary [censored].

But I do. Because I like Star Trek, and would quite like to see more Star Trek. And if they keep making [nonsense] like this then I'll be [crikey!] off.

Has anyone contemplated that in the 90s when TNG came out, loads of older people who grew up in the 60s were equally annoyed that some Shakespearian actor was ruining their favourite show?

I get the feeling they make these shows these days for children with mobile phone attention spans.

I don't think they want to attract an aging fanbase but instead want one that they can sell to in the future. Same with SW.
