Star Trek

Some great escapism.

Unfortunately for freeview viewers, Channel One is now no longer available, so no more Star Trek on TV! That's a lot of DVDs to buy....! They're not exactly cheap either, it has to be said.

Do you know what the books are? I wouldnt mind getting these.

It's these three:

  • The Romulan War (Star Trek: Enterprise) by Michael A. Martin
  • Star Trek: Enterprise: The Romulan War: To Brave the Storm by Michael A. Martin
  • The Romulan War: To Brave the Storm (Star Trek: Enterprise) by Michael A. Martin

That's only two books ;)

The Romulan War: Beneath the Raptor's Wing came out a while ago. It finished up before really getting going, I thought, so it's good news that the follow-up is on it's way. I hadn't heard about To Brave the Storm until you mentioned it :)

There were actually quite a few Enterprise books, and I think I have all of them apart from the ones that are based on real episodes. They add a nice bit of flesh to the series, especially the ones that are after the show ended.

I've just started watching through TNG again, just started on S3 tonight.

Tweaked my list from my post last year :) I'm going to try and stick to it this time round.

TNG 1-5
DS9 1
TNG 6
DS9 2
TNG 7
DS9 3
Voy 1
Generations
DS9 4
Voy 2
DS9 5 up to "The Ascent"
First Contact
DS9 5 "Rapture" onward
Voy 3
DS9 6
Voy 4
Insurrection
DS9 7
Voy 5-7
Nemesis

That's the plan anyway! :D

Cut and paste error!

I watched all of DS9 on DVD a while back and found I enjoyed it much more second time around. Good luck with your objective. :)

I can only find :

The Good That Men Do
Kobayashi Maru
The Romulan War: Beneath the Raptor's Wing
The Romulan War: To Brave the Storm
The Romulan War: In Shariel's Jaws (Not out yet??)

Is there any order to these??

I went on a hunt for Enterprise books last year, ended up picking up all of these.

By The Book - 4/2/02
What Price Honour - 3/12/02
Surak's Soul - 7/4/03
Daedalus - 5/1/04
Daedalus's Children - 5/7/04
Rosetta - 1/2/06

These last three share a storyline, which is continued in The Romulan War.

Last Full Measure - 1/8/06
The Good That Men Do - 2/4/07
Kobayashi Maru - 6/10/08

The Romulan War: Beneath The Raptor's Wing - 29/10/09

I should probably have a clear out :)

Last Full Measure is hard to find, some places want £25+

Half way through "the good that men do" and i have to say its really good. I dont know if its because im reading it as if it was the next episode after the end of season 4 or if its just written in a way that makes it fit in so well but its just like the story carries on.

Got a bit confused at the start when it was Jake and Nog but realised what was going on in the end :P

Just finished watching The Next Generation, I was expecting a better ending, it's as if they finished the series without expecting a new series.

I've just started watching Firefly and then onto the original Star Trek

MW

I kind of went backwards lol.

Seen latest movie 11
Watched all enterprise
Then watched all voyager
then DS9
Now on Next Generations.
Got TOS Bluray for when im done.
Then will watch all the movies from TOS and Next Generation

Ah yes, haven't seen it but know all about it, i'll have a nose around later.

I know the wil episode isn't far from the end.

Picard time travels as it's still the Q trial from the first episode and he has to save the human race.

Firefly was simply awesome, although i say that partially because i have a thing for Jewel Staite, but seriously i think people just didn't "get" the whole Western in space thing :(
