Star Wars: Force Unleashed Demo

Wasn't really interested in the game after seeing the trailers, but gave the demo a go anyway. Glad i did since i really enjoyed it and now played through it a couple of times.

Will agree though that the controls can be a bit clumsy, especially locking on to the wrong target.

Played it last night, and this morning. Got to say that targeting system is rubbish. Trying to force grip a tie-fighter and kept on locking on to something off the screen! However, that end sequence showing you what the rest of the game is like has tempted me into a possible purchase.
 
Downloaded it for PS3 last night and had a ball. Managed to crash the PS3 with it though, it locked up at the AT-ST fight. :/

Will probably buy it though, really enjoyed it. I agree with the controls/targetting/saber comments though, could do with tinkering before final release, though I guess it won't be long before it's gone gold...
 
As a huge fan of Jedi academy this is just a updated glossed up version. Which really is all I wanted. Would have been nice to have two option likes in JA to chose light or dark then adding some extra playthroughs.

Didnt have a problem with the controls or targetting at all.

May get a bit boring having the stormtroopers etc in the way as you progress through a level because its just a case of swatting them away which i'm sure after a few hours will become irritating.

Vader sounds crap, the voice is wrong.

I liked it and will definately buy it but can see it being a launch day/week hammer out and then quickly re-sold.
 
Ah I love the summer holidays. While I'm at work (boo) I have my little bro on the other end of the phone able to download anything I ask for :D

So I'll give this a bash as soon as I get home tonight.
 
it was kinda fun, i liked the rambo nature of it. the controls left a lot to be desired though and the game in general doesnt seem to run too well... theres also needless delays when you turn/jump which just made the game feel unresponsive.

Yeah I noticed some tearing in a couple of spots but nowhere near as bad as some titles.
 
Just played it. Fanstic game. Any game that makes you feel like a badass, is a win for me. My only problem was the clunky controls and camera. I had no perfomance issues playing this on the PS3.
 
QTE's are great when done right. I'm not too sure about the one in the demo but maybe the full game will have better ones. GOW perfected the GTE mechanic.

I found it boring and darth is awful doesnt sound deep enougjh, why no James Earl Jones ?
 
Pre-ordered for £33.99, was the cheapest I could find at the moment with a £3 off a 30 spend and 11% quidco. Anyone find any better without naming any stores?

Another play though the demo and I'm looking forward to this. Hoping for atleast an 8 hour solo game though.
 
Hmm mixed feelings. Great fun to muck around with the force powers, but the camera and targeting is all over the shop. In the battle with the AT-ST at the end of the demo I was struggling to target the thing to hit it with some lightning. Also concerned that it will get boring fast.

Still, one to pre-order and to watch the reviews closer to release before making a final call.
