Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (fallen order sequel)

It's clear that many youtube videos are being overly critical as these sort of videos breed clicks and engagement and potentially subscribers. No doubt some are having issues but I'm not.

Just replaying the first one atm, will get this afterwards and if it’s broken got some other stuff to play through while they patch it up. Plague Tale, God of War, Spider-Man…

Some people are more perceptive to frame stutters and the like.

I don't like them, but they aren't so bad as to make the game unplayable.

Some games are a lot worse.

Game runs fine for me high settings think fsr2 is on,rtx 3060ti,amd 7700x,32mb 5600mhz ddr5 memory
Checked fps with afterburner 75fps.
Havent had any stuttering or hugh fps drops.
Turned off fps and just been enjoying the game.

You said it was broken, he said it works fine. Who to believe… oh maybe the fact it works perfectly for me is what I should believe. Also it cost me £40 from CD Keys for the EA app version.

So not broken and not £60. Was any part of your statement accurate, or are you just repeating the hyperbole? Do you have the game?

It is broken though. And it is £60, your individual use case is meaningless, by the way. Unless of course I was interested or asking for your individual use case, which of course, I wasn't and i'm not.

:)

Here's how it performs on my 3900X and RTX 3080 FE. Lowering settings makes no difference to the framerate and it stutters quite a lot (I don't think this is acceptable):

It’s not acceptable and people should not be accepting it as if the do it is telling developers they don’t need to do better.
Anyway how is HDR working for you since you are running the same display 48” C1.
For me it works great as you can adjust both peak brightness and black point.?

HDR seems to work okay, but I haven't got the tools to measure peak brightness so I'm not totally sure if it has the same problem as the Series X (reduced peak brightness).

However, just by looking at it I would guess it's functioning properly. I have used the Windows 11 calibration app to calibrate HDR (I am not sure if the game is using it).

Neither do I and I judge it by the eye.
If it looks good to me (which it does) that’s all I care about. It looks plenty bright.

If you change any graphics settings you need to restart the game. I’ve had no trouble at all.

I know and it does help to some extent but still having fps drops to low 40s at times, traversal stutter and inconsistent frame pacing no matter how many times I restart the game without touching settings.
It is with RT enabled.

Around 13hours into this now. Purchased for £41.79 from a reseller. ZERO performance issues. Runs beautifully smooth on my 6950XT + 12700K. It does use about 15GB of VRAM and 21GB of DDR4 RAM, 99% use on GPU, 10% or so on CPU (according to Adrenalin). Running with every graphics setting at maximum on a 3440x1440 144hz display. Really glad I got this, as I thoroughly enjoyed Fallen Order to the point I smashed out the Platinum trophy within 7 days of release on PS4.

For those who want to check and compare HDR in this game, my video is finally available in HDR format.
Interesting that you benchmarked the exact same section as me . You are getting plenty of stuttering like me but at least your framerate is a lot better. What CPU and GPU are you using?

Do you find limiting it to 60 FPS helps?

Had to limit screen refresh rate to 60hz otherwise GeForce experience would record video at 42fps.
Whether it’s better that way I would say no as while i think some stutters were less visible at 60hz (drop from 60 to 50 is less visible than from 80 to 50) I will take less blurry image that comes with higher framerate but that is personal preference obviously.
I’m using 4090 with 7800X3D.

Thanks, I wonder why GFE was doing that. I don't think it did that in my case but I have a 120Hz display. No wonder you were getting better framerate than me with those specs  . Still, you are CPU limited far below where you should be I'm sure.

I know your display is 120hz as I’m using exactly the same one.
Maybe it happens when framerate exceeds 60fps with GSync on don’t know.
I looked it up and it is a known issue.
And yes for the game to have fps drops to low 40s at times on this cpu is completely ridiculous.
