Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (fallen order sequel)

Quickly eyeballed the first 10 minutes or so with whatever settings it selected for me, mix of high and epic with RT on and FSR Quality at 4k. Mostly 45-60 fps but quite a lot of stuttering. In the middle of playing the first one so didn't dig into it further. (first one also a bit stuttery, but not as bad as this).

At least pc gamers are getting an apology.

Years ago on PS Vita there was a major issue with one of the Madden NFL games, EA's response was literally "just deal with it"
That news story is almost putting the blame on PC gamers "Gamers didn't wait for the updates and flooded Electronic Arts with complaints and outrage."

A day 1 patch that fixes the issues while not ideal I can understand. But this is vague promises that it will be better in future.

I'm not actually sure how many games have pulled that off successfully.

Cyberpunk is probably the most recent one. Now works great.

Always baffles me how there are issues across the board with a game and you always get those people who claim they are not effected.

I notice it went very quiet after @VincentHanna asked for the frame time graph :)

Genuinely have had no issues, or very few. One crash/freeze on Friday night, some very occasional stutter last night but generally smooth and consistent. Not dismissing anyone who is having issues, clearly there’s an issue with the game and it’s CPU and GPU usage, but I’m having a consistent and smooth experience.

Can you post the graph then so we can see it? Then it may be possible to see any links between hardware people have etc.

Will add this to my monitoring when I play again tonight. Frametime jumps or glitches seem to be inherent with the game for everyone it seems but I’m seeing few of them.

Disabled RT and so far it's been ok, not great but not terrible as with enabled ray tracing although I've only played for maybe 30 minutes like that and I'm still on the first planet.
Can record video with frametime graph if people are interested.
Will have to limit refresh rate to 60hz or else geforce experience will record at 42fps for some reason.

with these recent game issues I wonder if there is pain getting the direct media stuff working while also catering for a lot of PCs not really being setup for it? Probably haven't nailed it perfectly on the consoles yet either.

Just got to Koboh planet and recorded about 14 minutes of constatnly getting lost lol.
Probably not the best place to benchmark as not much going on but it's already uploaded to youtube however it will take 2 hours for it to be processed and available in 4k and probably another week for hdr to work.

Your fps will drop once you get to the bottom within the town area^^
ok will continue playing and report back.

edit: yep it is quite bad once you get to town with plenty of stutter all over the place.
uploading video to youtube now but it is at 49fps as that's how geforce experience decided to record this time so don't know what youtube will do with it.

Here it is.
should have changed the colour of the stats as they are barely visible but it’s done now so hey ho.

Jedi Survivor has piqued my interest. I've installed Fallen Order to see if the gameplay style appeals to me, will be giving it a go this evening. I never got on the bandwagon when that was released, I'm hoping to be pleasantly surprised.
I'm not quite prepared to splash out the full whack at the moment for Jedi Survivor based on the uproar of poor release performance. However, if I get on with Fallen order, Jedi Survivor might be one for the sales when/if performance is fixed.
