Star Wars Jedi: Survivor

Quite happy with my lightsaber design:

Completed the story on about 39 hours with 80 to 90% exploration on all of the planets. Really enjoyed the game overall despite bugs, weird texture pop in (on Series S), etc.

Planning to do the bounty hunters and maybe some more rumours, got one or two more Jedi chambers to do and force tears. Not going to do all of the achievements though.

Rick the Door Technician gave me a genuine LOL.

I've been enjoying my time that I've had with this game. I've had a couple of serious frame rate issues on the PS5 but it's not been too bad. My main gripe has been trying to find out where to actually go as the map is total rubbish like the first game.

Yeah I’m the same enjoying it (Wall running aside) but I’m pretty much always lost the map for me is awful an on screen director outside the map would help me. They could add something to the accessibility options so it’s only for use if needed. I also had a big crash last night went to save and the Xbox froze then restarted but would not boot up. Had to unplug to get it going again not had one like that before..

Really enjoying this. Just did the second stint on Jedah. It’s running much better after the last patch. Im enjoying combat much more than the last game, it’s punishing me much less and attack interrupt with dual sabres is really helpful. A lot more stims to collect this time too, think I have a good chunk of them now. Looking great on my new OLED too.

I wish they would add a none raytracing performance mode on consoles, its crazy to me that on a game that is struggling with fps the performance mode still has light Ray tracing. The first game ran great on ps5 and looked good so hopefully the devs can deliver 60 fps on ps5 and series x.

There are moments when this game really is stunning.

Agreed, it adds little, I usually turn RT off when given the option. It’s just not worth the hit.

I will soon find out how good the game is - I just put in a cheeky £40 offer for a used ps5 copy on vinted which was accepted :)

I have been playing over the weekend and enjoying it.. I seem to be getting a bit of screen tearing when using performance mode, not tried the other mode yet. The camera angles can be a pain at times and often find the fighting to be a bit hit an miss but still good. Just got to the fractured moon but finished for the night.

Well i believe i am on the last boss... Think i have played for about 19 hours but done a load of the rumors etc and honestly, the campaign does seem a little short (Unless there is a big chunk of it after where i currently am) I love the main planet being so huuuuuuuge, its actually pretty impressive how big it is and the different areas are fantastic but its not really the same in the other areas. The desert bit is pretty meh, the shattered moon is very simliar (And in one place near the big boss fight you can actually get stuck and cant work your way back out and cant fast travel either) and Coruscant is pretty much on rails and quite small in scale.

I have enjoyed it and hope there are some nice hidden areas to get to with some good boss fights (Although the cavern area is a bloody nightmare.. ) but wanted a bigger epic length game but i have been doing other things and have almost completed the main game in less than 20 hours. I also think the main villains come across as one dimensional without a great deal of substance.

Will see if there is the 51 hours that they have touted as full completion in the actual game.

After looking at the index of the walkthrough it does look like i have a few more episodes to go... :D I did see a spoiler about a certain skill available towards the end of the game but i havnt got it yet so that really should have tipped me off DOH!

Well that took a turn!

I have to say that, although i havnt finished it yet, it can be very emotional in parts. The story is pretty well written and has some great ups and downs but like everything some meh parts. I agree with biron_w as well, its a great example of a Star Wars Metroidvania... Similar actually to the Batman Arkham games (More so the latter 2 with the more open world maps)..
