As a pitch, I love it. But high chance it will be turd. Although at least this one is 100% aimed at kids. Then again, so is Toy Story and Inside Out, and those are good.

As it seems to be aimed specifically at kids I think it might escape the wider "SW is dead" trope that many of us have as, being a kids film, I would hope that gives it far more leeway with script/direction/acting etc.

It an 8 episode series starting on the 3rd of December, so nice Christmas watch time with the kids etc.
I got Explorers vibes, which reminds me I should watch that again sometime.
It wont get a watch but maybe a good one for those with kids.

I think my main gripe about this is if you take away Star Wars from the title it could literally be any teen sci-fi adventure series. I'm not sure it warrants the Star Wars title apart from being a simple cash grab and marketing to suck more people into watching it. Lets face it, if it didn't have Star Wars in the title I bet hardly anyone here would consider watching it.

It's for kids by the looks of it. At least it doesn't look like they are going to be crapping all over canon with this one though. It'll still surely be better than the acolyte
