Been trying to play this on kb and mouse, it's a nightmare. How is the controller? seems like there's to many buttons for a controller
There appears to be no sense of speed. Star wars episode 1 pod racer, this need remaking for PS5 / PC
For PC - keyboard or Xbox controller?
Get yourself a HOTAS. It's the proper way to play it.
Isn't there a "dead zone" issue with HOTAS?
Yep, makes aiming especially difficult for laser battles and needs constant over-correction.
So currently what's the best way to play, controller?
I'm abstaining until the deadzone issue and VR refresh rate and motion blur issues are fixed. There appears to be no sense of speed. Star wars episode 1 pod racer, this need remaking for PS5 / PC

but, that's the problem with all space games? Without objects nearby there's nothing to gauge speed against, so it doesn't feel it compared with skimming close to some sand in pod-racing? (same applies with small vehicles and why a go-cart feels quicker than a car, cos you're closer to the reference terrain/ground). Thus why there's often little specks of dust/rubbish wizzing around in space games, to give an idea of movement in a vast sea of emptiness. There appears to be no sense of speed. Not for me there isn't. Using a thrustmaster.
Just spent 30 mins getting Vjoy and Joystick gremlin running, and even after that, SWS can't see the buttons on my joystick. What a pile of cack!
