Star Wars Squadrons

There appears to be no sense of speed. Star wars episode 1 pod racer, this need remaking for PS5 / PC

I have seen AI go very very slowly, things feel much more boxed in than the old games. I described it to my mate as kind of an arena game a bit like rocket league in space.

I've not won one fleet battle yet. Vs AI on easy we were 3 in a group and getting gunned easily.

On ranked going against very organised 5 man stacks.

I know I know getgud. Any tips?

Have you played? I thought the same before playing but speed is definitely there in my opinion.

Had a blast last night on the prologue, but good lord on the third difficulty level it's hard. After dying very, very quickly around 50 times I had to drop it down to "pilot" as it was becoming not fun. I assume it was actually sort of OTT difficulty to keep you on the rails (as the prologue is essentially just a tutorial), but I didn't seem to get where the rails were :o

Absolutely no issues with Thrustmaster T-Flight HOTAS X. There was no deadzone at all, I was able to adjust with the normal level of control that one can with a potentiometer stick.

I did encounter the annoying juddery feeling when running any other way besides v-sync at 60hz, however I only noticed this one I was in the hangar bay free-looking around.

but, that's the problem with all space games? Without objects nearby there's nothing to gauge speed against, so it doesn't feel it compared with skimming close to some sand in pod-racing? (same applies with small vehicles and why a go-cart feels quicker than a car, cos you're closer to the reference terrain/ground). Thus why there's often little specks of dust/rubbish wizzing around in space games, to give an idea of movement in a vast sea of emptiness.

As for this game, when dogfighting and skimming around close to a star destroyer, it feels quick (to me)?

Just spent 30 mins getting Vjoy and Joystick gremlin running, and even after that, SWS can't see the buttons on my joystick. What a pile of cack!

Do you have more than one device? E.g. are the stick and rudders on separate USB ports? If so, try unplugging all but one, setting that up, then plugging in each in turn.

Also check here.
