Think I'll have to agree, just got the PSN demo, guys over at lucas arts have been reading the 'how to get to grips with the PS3' manual.

Its a 100 times better in regards to tearing then the first one. It does tear, at the top of the screen but only when it gets manic and a lot on screen.

The graphics are amazing, they are very crisp. Some real interesting force powers and it is a lot lot better then the first.

Quite surprised actually - wasn't expecting it to be as good as it was.... Hmmm.
 
Ooo just tried the 360 demo.

cut scenes look poor compared to the PS3 version, less tearing and looks a lot darker. Seems to be running more blur or something, it doesn't look as high res as the PS3. Could be my eyes but I'd say cut scenes are most certainly better on the PS3.

Hmmm like I said, think the lucas art boys have got a how to make games for the PS3 booklet, and finally used it..

Both versions of this game are really good, very surprised by this.. Worthwhile rental, or even picking up at the magic £20 price point..
 
Just tried the Demo on the PS3 as well. It's awesome, I think the graphics are much better then the first one and I like the Mind trick. I bet we'll see more combinations and thinks to do like the Force Sense. I will definitely be picking this up for the PS3 :D

Really enjoyed it so much better, im gonna get it on pc though and use my xbox controller like i did on the first one. Still no sign of it coming on steam yet though.
 
Much better experience than the first one. I loved mind trick and the combat just seemed more fluid. Of course the QTE's are still there which I not a big fan of.

Wasn't sure what to make of this tbh, maybe you have to be a star wars fan but I just didn't really get it

Doesn't help I'm not a fan of of button bashers which this seems to be. Shame as I was really looking forward to it after seeing the trailers
 
Is anyone else experiencing an issue with the audio when people are speaking during the cutscenes? I got this all the way through the first one and I can't believe it's still there in this one, albeit not as bad as it was in the first game. It's like a layer of what I can only describe as some kind of warbling or audio artifact that sits under the dialogue. Anyone else experiencing this here or with the first one? It's the only game I've ever had it in and the fact it's only in both of these games is odd. :(
 
Anyone else disappointed with what would appear to be reduced customisation options?

ie only force powers rank 1-2-3 now, no new combos to unlock or things like force affinity, lightsaber defense etc?

Also the sabers appear to only have colour crystals now and no power crystal?

I'm hoping thats just the demo...

A minor point granted but something I enjoyed all the same.
 
Well, reviews are coming in and so far its not looking good. Eurogamer gave this 5/10 and its sitting at about around 64 on MetaCritic, so after all the hype is looking to be quite a boring game..

Graphics are getting praise but gameplay and the QTE are being meet with less praise..

I thought the demo looked ok, PS3 still had some screen tear, anyhow won't bother with this and continue with Fallout 3 new vegas.. lol
 
The first game was very good but i looked at game reviews this morning for this one and there not good, Gamespot gave it a 6.5 with other websites giving similair scores. I will try it none the less as the first one was so damn good.
 
Completed it today, glad I rented it. Pretty poor story and it is an improvement on the first one I don't think it's all that. Plus there's no replay value and the challenges are annoying
 
Yeah, got it in the post around 11, didn't have anything to do today so I thought why not. Completed it round about 7/8
 
Well recived the ce from shopto this morning. blatently been opened box is all split and torn open and now stuck on hold the joy =/. So no star wars for me today :( as i refuse to open it further to see if disc etc is all right
 
I managed to get 3 hours on this yesterday, I really quite like it.

Some of the combat moves can get repetitive, but the bosses have been good, powers a great, and I am playing as Guybrush Threepwood which makes me love it :D
 
Took about 4hrs to finish it i got about 80% of the holocrons, dont care for the challenges. Good game but way too short will go back and do it again to get the other ending.
 
I don't need to know there was another ending :( Now i'll be second guessing myself.

Think i may have to get the first one of these to really understand the story, I have it for the Wii but the graphics make me vomit! :D
