Star Wars VIII : The Last Jedi [WARNING: SPOILERS]

Still doesn't look right to me, all too shiny and the style of cinematography does not match with the feel of the original trilogy. This does look better than the Force Awakens but I'll be watching this one at home after the wife and I being very disappointed last time.

My feeling is Rey will be rejected by Luke because she would be too dangerous to train. She will then go off hunting the dark side to complete her training. While Kylo with kill his mother then realise Snoke has used him and see the error of his ways. Both of them will have experiences both sides of the force and Episode 9 will be the balance of power and the defeat of Snoke and the last of the Imperials.

WOW! Looks like I'm not going on either of the first two nights thanks to Cineworld. I mean, you pay your money every month and you'd expect a large chain to be prepared for the biggest ticket release of the year wouldn't you?
What's it been - over two hours of trying and the furthest I've been is the payment page for my uplift costs and for it to fail at that point.
I mean, surely you have your ticket selection and payment platforms separate so that once the intensive, seat selection is complete, payment should be a given.
I would expect Thursday/Friday will be nicely sold out by now (well, seats worth sitting in).
Oh well, work won't do itself :)

Was very unhappy with TFA will not be seeing this either it looks slightly better but still poor for a SW film. After all the time & money spent on it still just looks very average visually.

looks ok - a bit too clean like other people have said (almost like the garbage prequels).

hopefully will be good. I enjoyed TFA despite its story flaws (more than Rogue one thats for sure)

I was born at just the wrong time for Star Wars - 1982, so was too young for the release of the first trilogy, and too old to get particularly into the prequels.

But this time, I have a son (now 7.5) and it's seriously fantastic to have these SW experiences to share with him. This morning was very exciting for both of us watching the trailer, and these xmas time trips to see the new SW are becoming a bit of a tradition. Have to weigh up taking the girl this time (nearly 4.5) - think she's perhaps a year too young, really, but might give it a go.

Trailer was good - showed some cool stuff without giving anything significant away.

Was fine for me at 7am when they went live, I guess the rush must have been a bit late

You were? I was born in 1982 and have loved Star Wars since it was shown on TV in the 80's. Wasn't probably until around 1995 that I had decent versions that weren't recorded off ITV, as that's when the THX versions were re-released on video in Widescreen.

The prequels were rubbish.

Please don't. We managed to sit near a family with a young child (must have been between 5-6) when I saw Rogue One and it was really irritating hearing them constantly asking their parents questions because they were too young to grasp what was going on. Maybe your children are different, but please consider other moviegoers.

Never really watched it until much later. Don't think I'd actually watched the original trilogy in its entirety until about 2004.

It just wasn't something I or anyone I was friends with was into. Picking stuff up on TV is ok, but it's beyond the 'buzz' of it's original release, so doesn't permeate you and all your friends like I see the current run doing with my son and his friends.

It'll be a lunchtime showing. We took the boy when he was 5.5 for VII and 6.5 for R1, and he was fine mostly.
