Star Wars VIII : The Last Jedi [WARNING: SPOILERS]

This looks much better than TFA. I was disappointed with TFA, and I'm a big fan of the originals and JJ Abrams, but his take on it felt a bit underwhelming to me. I'm glad they got a different director - Rian Johnson seems to have instead concentrated more on making it fit with the theme of the story, rather than aiming to emulate the look of previous films. This looks more polished than TFA in a lot of ways, and has its own style which compliments the story.

I'm really hoping Rey goes to the dark side and Ren turns light. I don't think they'll do it, but it would be awesome.
I really hope NOT - I think Ren is such a weak charachter, I want him killed off asap by someone on the light side - Love daisy and would be very disappointed if she turns bad (especially after the parricide she saw for herself in epVII)

That scene in the trailer that seems to shows Rey asking for Kylo Ren's help in guiding her is such a red herring, I think they've spliced two scenes together to make it look like they're talking to each other. They did it with the Rogue One trailers where they hinted at the possibility that Jyn Erso was an Empire spy, plus I don't see why they'd give away such a huge potential spoiler in a trailer when they've always been so careful what they show in other SW trailers. Oh and Luke even says the line "this will not go how you expect it to", which I think is a nod to the potential spoilers shown in the trailer.

Anyone thought that it might be Finn that swaps sides or was always on the dark side and thus playing the part of deserter? I mean it always bothered me in TFA how one of the elite first order, indoctrinated since birth blah blah, suddenly had an attack of conscience after seeing one of his buddies get shot.

I don't think that works at all, the idea that he's been undercover all this time. That's an Ocean's 12 level of cinematic cheating.

That Rey could turn dark is possible (though unlikely IMO), because it would be a flip, rather than a reveal.

Fairly deep cover for that to be true. Blow up your main planet and base, fight your boss etc. Nah.

I reckon it's part of when she swims into the cave/pool. It's her version of the bit where Yoda sends Luke into the forest, and he finds himself as Darth Vader. I think she has a vision of her potential future.

Have to be honest. I think I'm all Star Wars'd out. After TFA and RO I don't think I have the energy with it all anymore. Will likely see but I think BR2049 will taint this any anything else Sci-Fi for a while.

Yeah i'm the same, for some reason i just don't feel the excitement that i should be feeling with this

I'm still worried they have ruined Luke and do hope they haven't just turned one of these new force users into the best ever.

The whole thing is turning into a mess, muddying the canon when it suits to get out of a Lucas canon. Like Obi Wan telling Maul that Luke was the chosen one in Rebels series 3. It's like they forgot about the Clone Wars episode they did that told you want it actually meant.

Anyway I'm still rooting for Ezra to be Snoke, even though the internet seems to think Snoke is female.

I will go for my son but I've been pretty much bored of SW since they killed the EU. The more they make the more Canon continuity will get raped until we end up with a marvel universe type mess.
