Thats def true, especially if you come up against some Korean Starcraft fanatic. It might as well be their national game they are so into it.

SC is the reason I know so many koreans and so much about their culture.R34P3R said:It might as well be their national game they are so into it.
Because it's very popular there. They regularly have televised StarCraft tournaments and earn up to $300,000 a year playing SC.tang0 said:why are koreans so good at RTS games ? lol

You have to be the best, you'd have no chance at all.IamMed said:Gimme $300,000 a year and I'll play any game you want me too!![]()

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-6648934043675888354The average game length is 22 minutes. Having hour long games sucks hard.Efour2 said:lol that is brilliant.
I prefer my games to last a bit longer though![]()

A patch was released a few days ago so just pop online with the game to update it. Get the WGTour map pack (www.wgtour.com) for the best balanced maps and get playing!geeza said:kreeeee, im sure youll be delighted to hear that ive purchased starcraft with expansion for a tenner from the purple 4 letter store.
I used to play it a fair bit but then i lost the cd and slowly forgot about it. Ill give it an install tonight. Could you point out anything usefull in the line of patches, AI fixes (to make them not stupid etc) I havent got a net connection at home yet though

'Omg its not exactly like the original, kill it with fire'
Kreeeee said:- Very slow pace
- Poor "Hero" concept
- very unresponsive compared to any other blizzard RTS
- Poor skill onine, people are far too easy to beat when I played
- Poor balance that swings too and fro with each patch
- Crippling online community of 14 year old
- lack of useful diversity in the units
It's not a terrible game, it just doesn't come anywhere near any of blizzards past RTS games, very much the same reason why generals appears **** poor too.

oh and carriers == instant win apparantely.
Yes, have a quick browse around www.blizzard.com in the starcraft section. Should be on the starcraft front page.geeza said:can I download this update? I dont have a net connection at home but could download it at work
I knew you were going to go into this crap about points and counterpoints so take it to email instead of crapping on this thread.Locrian said:- How you can comment on the pace next to SC i have no idea! SC takes just as long if not longer to set up as any other RTS does
- Surely you must know about http://www.dota-allstars.com/? It just proves that the hero concept can work.
- Responsiveness? I have no idea what you mean by that
- Nothing to do with the game that is it
- Again not really to do with the game, and not something i have noticed. Patches are designed to fix things and make the balance fairer.
- Again nothing to do with the game
- Well that entirely depends how you play it
The most annoying thing in any RTS i find is stupid unit caps, and it seems they are all guilty of that. I can understand it 10 years ago when the machines couldnt handle anymore but now its just stupid.
