i love the way they are prolly making those 2 pilots drink water on camera, then when the camera goes, they will prolly take the water away, if u get me.

They didnt look hurt though. Looked scared. I would.

No they cant and wont. Spy satellites are in low orbit and typically can only observe a location for 8 minutes due to orbital mechanics. Also I'd imagine they'd have much more important things to monitor than a simple helicopter. And in the scheme of a war a duff helo is not that important.

They may use local assets though such as a UAV or SFs

POWELL: There are such reports. I have no doubt that he would do such a thing if he thought it would serve his interests. So we are concerned about it. We will follow this matter carefully, we will do everything we can to gather all the intelligence we can. He has to be careful here because the world knows he has done it before and, were he to do it again, it would be immediate acknowledgement of the fact that he has weapons of mass destruction of the kind that he has been swearing that he does not have and we have been insisting he does have and we continue to believe he does have.
 
Seven members of the ruling Baath Party have been executed March 23 in Basra on the order of Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, the Supreme Assembly of the Islamic Revolution of Iraq said March 24. The group's sources inside Iraq as say the Baath members were arrested on March 23 for "laxity in fulfilling their military duties."

This is obviously from an unconfirmed source

Helicopter such as these have switches in them that when switch actually destroy the hard dirves in the helicopter with launch codes, frequencies everything. Since it is lilkely the pilots 'landed' the chooper they would have followed SOP and flicked the switch.

As it was explained to me there is a piece of magnesium or phosphorus that surrounds the HDD's. When the switch is flicked the metal is ignited and thus completly destroying the HDD. Pilots are also issued with guns so they may have done all the damage they can to the chooper before leaving.

My dad was telling me that if they go down they flick the switch to destroy the info and HDD then they take hammers to the chopper and tear it apart. Even if it is likely the Allied forces will get to the chopper soon it is SOP just in case something goes wrong.

This of course only applies to hostile countries;)

They put something similar to their Washington reporter. He said that Powell is regarded by US reporters as as honest as they come. He will never lie, cut and dive, but not out right lie.
