Schools ought to take a tougher line and tell students that they will be suspended, expelled if they insist on cutting school to go and protest. Especially as during school term they are under responsibility of the school, so this must be a nightmare for the school that this girl came from.

I'm with him ^^^^^.
Even by watching a 'Bridge Too Far' you could work out that the current situation is similar. A stretched and relativily lightly defended supply line is bound to be counter-attacked.
BTW, started to listen to the Bush speach in Tampa, but I've got sick of Yanks whupping and cheering at the end of just about every sentence!! Sure, big cheers at the start and end of the speech are to be expected. But the way it keeps going on at the moment, a 10 minute speech is about to last 2 hours(Actually, its quite scary in a way cos it slightly reminds me of the speeches Hitler would make. Throw a couple of sentences of rhetoric out, crowd goes wild, then a few more sentences, crowd goes wild. and repeat for half an hour)

I fully understand its patriotism, nothing wrong with it.
I prefer the British approach where we politely wait until the end (or at least let them say more that 10 consective sentences) before we clap.
A nation of people who like to wait in order, and queue ehhh![]()
