U.S. military intelligence is warning American troops that Iraqi soldiers have begun to use a wire-guided missile system against American tanks that the U.S. military previously did not know they possessed.

It is called the AT-14 Kornet surface-to-surface missile. It has a range of 3.5 kilometers, and it is emerging as the Iraqis' most effective direct-fire weapon against U.S. armor in the desert of southern Iraq.

Radio Free Europe

That's the one that took the two Abrams out, isn't it?

Haven't had my feed up? What kind of reception?

Its on BBC1 too mate, but so far, Mr Bush has praised Tony Blair, then spoke about the war a bit, then praised Britain as a whole, then spoke more about progress on the war, now speeking about the US UK alliance.

Now, Mr Blair Speaks.

United States commanders said up to 1000 Iraqi troops were killed in fighting in and around the holy city of Najaf, 160km south of Baghdad, but the US lost six Abrams tanks.

The first U.S. airplane landed Thursday at a key Iraqi airfield, which forces informally renamed "Bush International Airport." - Dont say which airfield though

I thought the abrams were near indistructable?

Not if you shoot them from the back. Plus the tracks are always vulnerable, though that can be fixed given time
