Steam Autumn Sale Hype!

Spotted a few in my Wishlist that got me interested.

Looks like Wolfenstein 2 has a discount too, but it's only affecting the Deluxe ED.

It's kinda a mix. They get their codes by people selling them to them. Just like people here selling game codes, also I believe they also buy pallet loads of retail games from some weird country and rip the code out the box to sell online.
 
Prices are live on the website (as in working properly) rather than the Steam client now.

Will grab The Division this sale personally.

This is how I have always believed they worked. It's why they aren't ever listed by developers as official resellers and are never featured on isthereanydeal.com

Limited money just now. Can't do both The Division and Hellblade lol!

Soon be xmas sale I guess. Which to get tho?

It's this. The key a lot of the times is a picture of the back of the card/insert whatever from retail games. Also notice the companies that heavily restrict their games with region locked codes either aren't sold or don't have deep discounts compared to those that are still free for all (like warner brothers & bethesda for example).

Don't see the problem really, pubs are free to use steams region locking feature if they don't like it. Pubs/devs take advantage of the worldwide market when it suits them, can't cry when the consumer does the same.
 
ED for 9 quid. god damn.

Is Yonder any similar to Zelda? If it's open world I'll grab it.

Seeing reviews just now seems a bit hit and miss.
 
Just got the email, Just Cause 3 £4.50? Sounds good.

Steam link is also £4.. that's a stupid price so if you've been holding off, now is the time to grab one!
 
I'll probably pick up xcom 2:war of the chosen DLC though it's just really the same price you can get it from most cd key sites. Deus ex : mankind divided could be worth a look for £6 as well.

Overall since the rise of cdkey sites and steam ditching their daily/flash sales there don't really seem to be any great offers in steam sales these days unfortunately. This one seems marginally better than the last 2 or 3 though.

There is more competition that's right. It's not fair to compare grey market sites however. Legit sites are there or thereabouts. Again it's a case of spending wisely to get the best deals.

The Steam sales have been pretty consistent really. The biggest thing that's missing and will never be back are the publisher catalogue sales.

Competition is a good thing. I bought some bargains in the last sale and this one. Just need to spend your money wisely... :)
