I've always fancied playing a game from this series as it looks a bit different to the usual RTSs which I can never get on with. For £2.49 why not...

Second that; most of teh mods need kingdoms. Including the later stainless steel mods.

Extremely good game, been playing it for years. Get kingdoms aswell the dl third age mod and stainless steel mod:

Stainless steel is basically what medieval 2 should have been.

Third age is LOTR and its brilliant i prefer it to vanilla medieval 2.

You must buy this game if you dont like it your queer.

How does it compare in gameplay terms to the original MTW?

Obviously graphics and game options will be better and more, but the core gameplay behind MTW was fun and easy to get into.

Dave, I went in as a 'civ' player years ago and was dissapointed to start with because you can't found new settlements.

But the game really makes up for it, and as such with the time period a lot of the local cities castles and main centres were in place historically.

Buy it for £2.50!!!!

I spent over £50 all in for it all at retail over the years ( inc kingdoms).

Totalwar forums is the place to go for mods.

Just played both tutorials it wasnt exactly what I thought but its still good fun for £2.50

Civilisation is still something I havent played. It a good building game?
