STEAM - I FLUID GAME - APPALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE

Why hasn't a FAIL .gif shown up yet? :)

OP acted like a total tool - nobody wants to help someone with such a bullish attitude. Things go wrong in the world of computers and software - at least be civil and just ask if there's a fix or if they're aware of it....maybe even mention which .dll is missing? You know....help them to help you?

You won't get far in life acting like such a prat.

I got a similar problem and just made a cry out for help, got a fix 16 hours later that solved the problem.

Steam = superb service and much safer than just buying a boxed EA game for example, I will never forget BFME2 :(.

This guy reminds me of people who play online and complain when they die. The world is out against them and everyone's a con. *punch*

HAY GUSY WE OWNZED HIM GOOD AMIRITE OLOLOL

This thread has been a pathetic display of cowardice and "me too".

Well done. You owned a guy who's obviously quite young and incapable of defending himself (even without his suspension). You must all be very proud of yourselves.

Happy Christmas.

Unless you are saying he is either an idiot, or a child there is no excuse for his attitude in his emails.

If he was told after writing a perfectly calm, logical email explaining his issues, and they gave him a "sod off" email, that would be entirely different, but he didn't try the fixes that they offered, was totally rude, and was basically made to look a bit silly.

People get service I find based on how well they come across - people always tell me that GM's on WOW are crappy, or useless, I speak to them in a respectful, nice manner and they are always very helpful to me. The same can be said for stores I visit, I don't take nonsense, and stick up for myself, but I won't jump down the persons throat, telling them they are at fault and basically whine because something has an issue.

You are either trying to resolve a problem or you are making a problem worse. The OP was doing the later, he wasn't trying to resolve his issue towards the end, he didn't follow the guides offered, didn't ask anywhere for help, and basically assumed that steam would have a game that had missing files available for purchase/download... yet he was the first person to notice it. If he had tried a logical approach, for example use the solutions they offered, redownload/install the game - and so on, at least I could say he tried.

Typing in CAPITALS, using hard to read statements/sentences/paragraphs/whatever the heck he is saying -crying about something does nothing but make people  and less likely to offer support.

Wow.....just, wow.

I think the OP is obviously very young and very spoilt.

Grow up, kid. Seriously. If you really can't take the fact that software occasionally goes wrong get the hell out of the PC gaming world and buy a console.

You'll still run into the occasional online play problem, but it might not melt your mind like what we've seen here.

sounds like he bought it and realised it was a poor game and wanted his money back......i.e using athe poorest excuse he could find.

happy xmas all

Thanks for telling me to be nice and i am such a bad person, blah blah blah, and then leave your own pathetic/abusive replies back. Hypocrites who don't practice what they preach.

For all the numpties out their the missing file is msvcp71.dll. To the rest of the sad tools yes i tried what Steam suggested and it did not work.

I wanted a refund. And guess what i got a refund. On Xmas Eve, along with an apology from Steam that my complaint had taken so long. They also credited my account with Fallout 3, which i'm off to play now away from all you saddo's.

Hope you all had a **** xmas.

Awwwww, aint you precious.
