Steam sale

Honestly Redux mechanics in 2033 has spoilt the game. Metro with hitmarkers and large in your face hand held icons ruins the immersion. You can always play in ranger mode but I remember looking back in the day and couldn't find graphical comparisons between 2033 and 2033 Redux and LL and LL Redux.

Edit - Now I manage to find one lol

Thanks, think I'll stick with the normal version.

I've been dancing around Plague, Inc. for months now and it's on 25% off... granted it's not a daily deal, but is it worth the £8.99 if it doesn't go any lower over the course of the sales? What's putting me off is it's a (free?) app for mobiles.
I've got it on my phone (android) and really enjoy wasting some time with it. I haven't played it on pc but it seems more suited to touch screen.

Arma 3 Is very different to your everyday shooter. The most realistic shooter out there. So might be great, or rubbish, depending on what you like.

Arma 3 is good but the real reason they rank up most sales is from people wanting to add on a big mod. The most famous was DayZ which went on to be a standalone but theres lots of others.
I played one where I rode round the town on a bus, such excitement but not sure if I was supposed to be a spy. Anyway the one I like is ACE but I not heard of it, the base game is fine too but its mostly about the mods imo

Just bought Wolfenstein the new order and old blood as I enjoyed the original years ago. Can't complain for a shade of £16 :)

Yeah, I'd agree with this tbh - it's great as a timewaster when you're on a train or something, but I wouldn't pay £8.99 for it! (Think I paid £2.49 or so for the android version)

Ooooh... Tomb Raider £2.99... that's not bad!

What's the DLC like - worth an extra £2 for the GOTY?

Edit: Looks like it's all multiplayer stuff except for Tomb of the Lost Adventurer? Not really interested in multiplayer :p

3rd day of steam sale and still not bought anything

a record

sales prices seem pretty poor ?

Yeah I'm sure a lot of games have been cheaper in previous sales...

Still picked up a few cheap games I've been looking at for a while, just hoping that Dark Souls II comes up at some point..

Didn't think I needed anything, but had a quick look which was fatal:
- Wolfenstein the New Order
- Olli Olli
- Sir, You are Being Hunted
- Baldurs Gate 2
- Icewind Dale

All for less than £30...

The cat is out the bag now.

Devs/Publishers are trying to make us think that "50% Off" is BUY BUY BUY material when in fact, it is not owing to the "Going out of business, 75%-90%" sales were are now accustomed to.

Too many sales now.

Remember when it was Weekend only, then midweek, then daily.

Too many sales now, the once "legendary" summer/Winter sales are not what they once were.

Command: Modern Naval Air Operations is on for £30, great bargain. I paid twice that at full price. Most realistic modern air & naval war sim you can get.

Picked up Portal, Portal II, LOTR: War in the North and Ultimate General Gettysburg today. I'm particularly looking forward to UG: Gettysburg, seems very interesting.

Total list now:

Darksiders Franchise
Graviteam Tactics and some DLC
Homeworld Remastered
LOTR:War in the North
Portal Franchise
Ultimate General: Gettysburg

Happy with that lot, and none over £11.

Cheers

Child of light
Homeworld remastered

Doing well restraining myself. Nearly went for wolfenstein, but will see how the sale goes really. Endless legend for under £10 would be a purchase!

Building up a few here to keep me busy for the next few months:

- Metro redux bundle
- Wolfenstein old blood
- Watch Dogs

all under a tenner !

Patience is definitely a virtue with steam ....

To anyone who hasn't picked it up since its release, Toybox Turbos, the spiritual successor to micro machines is £2.99.
