Err, because it's Rockstar's game. Valve doesn't set the prices for other companies games.

Wow, that's really cheap of steam. Jacking the price up of GTAV just so that they can pretend that there is a discount bringing it down to exactly the same as it was before the sale.

I'm surprised they're even allowed to do that in america because I'm pretty sure that would be illegal over here

I'd say Valve need to start policing the increasing of prices for sales and punishing publishers / developers who do it... but Valve themselves have increased the prices of some of their games for the sales, so essentially, steam sales RIP.

Doubt I will get anything, enjoying the witcher too much...but at least if I do I can always return the game if I don't like it, even better deal this time round
