Steam Summer sale - 19-30th June

Bought Terraria, The Stanley Parable, Final Fantasy VII, Walking Dead Season 1, State of Decay DLCs to add to Hotline Miami. Also bought Papers Please and Banished on GOG since I missed them on steam.

Still considering buying a bunch of the games on the current sale but since there's another day or so I'll wait.

Good/Bad timing for really, got paid on Friday and also got a cheque from HMRC for my stamp duty refund.

When I only had an Xbox 360 games were never below £5 and those were usually three to four years old. Steam has year or so old quality titles for less than that.

A large part of the reason people have such large backlogs is because of the ready availability of cheap games for PC. I just think that rather than condemn the sales we should show a bit more appreciation and perhaps got started on those backlogs!

I've bought loads of games in this years sale, I was just saying that the next round of games didn't interest me. It was more to get other peoples opinions, not to slate the sale as a whole :)
 
Bought The Witcher 2 so far for 2.99. Surprised I can run it maxed out. Never played anything like it before. Finding the combat quite difficult at the moment.
 
Not too fussed on the horror flash sales but would probably buy Jade Empire if it ended up on sale, nice addition to the list of games I'll likely never get around to playing :p

Bum. I just crafted £2 worth of summer trading cards and got a gold helmet worth £0.03. I was greedily hoping for a team token. :(

Oh well. At least I bagged myself a free copy of Terraria with the other cards.
 
I do wish they'd stop shafting people over DLC. Great deals for skyrim today but as somebody who bought it day one I shouldn't have to pay more for the DLC than somebody buying the whole game including DLC now.
