Steam Summer sale - 19-30th June

What controllers do you use if you guys use any?
Risk of Rain i think would be better suited to a controller, so trying with a PS3 dualshock, but doesn't seem to work...
Might try that motionJoy software.

Also, is anyone up for some co-op on it?

I don't know whether to flog all the trading cards I've been getting whilst they are going like hot cakes. Since the start, I've gone mad and played games just to get card drops and crafted a few badges but it's more a chore. I'm not getting any sense of satisfaction from a badge. I think I'd rather have some money in my steam wallet. The foil cards are going for £1.50+.

Sell them while the price is high. You can always buy them back towards the end when the price has fallen. I personally cant stand all of this trading nonsense, but if people want to give me money for these badges, then i am not complaining.

I have 33 games in my wishlist, but tbh I already have too many games. So many games I have bought and then a year later they are much cheaper and I still haven't even played them.

I was after the dlc for Skyrim, but yet again it's £7 :rolleyes:. Basically just screwing people over who bought the game at release. Even the Legendary edition is cheaper that contains all 3 dlcs and the main game...

If Broken Sword 5 is up for a good price i'd get that as I would definitely play that.

Same, you don't get an extra copy of Skyrim if you purchase the Legendary edition, but all the DLC is more than double the cost of the legendary edition. No idea what to do tbh.

Skyrim for £2.50 at the moment on this (normal version). Worth it? I like my RPG (big fan of Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Neverwinter Nights), but didn't quite get into Elder Scrolls and got bored quarter/half way through. Fallout 3, which is a bit similar to Elder Scrolls in some ways, was better, and I finished it, but not enough to go like 'OMG, must replay and finish DLC!'. Seems like a very low price for a AAA title though.

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GC-002-MS is what I use, I've had no issues with any of the games on Steam that have controller support. Also if you shop around it comes down to around £22 every now and again.

I'd hold out, until the DLC does go on offer elsewhere. It is a Steamworks titles so keys will work regardless of where you get them from.

Yes, very worth the asking price. Stacks of mods out there as well if you get bored but even in the standard game there is hours and hours of gameplay.

Busy working through my wanted list too :) Knocked about 5 games off it so far with the sales, although well over my budget already :p

I loved Gone Home, but it's more an interactive short story than a game in the traditional sense.

ohhh hope RPGS win the community vote as i quite fancy the Enhanced edition of Baldurs Gate 2 at £4.75 :D :D

If you missed out on the Papers please deal its on GOG on a flash deal for about £1.80 but it only has 1 hour left.

Really would like that Age of Mythology. Loved the original release, but it's a bit pricey for an older game even with a revamp :/

No sale is ever disappointing. You have all the games you want, and the games that have just been released, realistically, won't get the 50%/75% off that you want.

+1

When I only had an Xbox 360 games were never below £5 and those were usually three to four years old. Steam has year or so old quality titles for less than that.

A large part of the reason people have such large backlogs is because of the ready availability of cheap games for PC. I just think that rather than condemn the sales we should show a bit more appreciation and perhaps got started on those backlogs!
