Steam Summer sale - 19-30th June

Pulled the trigger on saints row 4. Thought I must have picked it up a few months back when I found it in my library and couldn't remember buying it.

Then realised it was a free weekend.

Not sure about Dark Souls. It's on my wishlist but still not sure to go with this or hold out for DS2. Wasn't the original a really bad port and reliant on mods to make it playable? Still the case and is it a relatively straightforward fix?

Nope, will have a look and :(
Doesn't seem I can play worms can't get passed the tutorial level as laptop has no number pad and appears to be no way to skip the tutorial level or change the keys.

Am I right in thinking that the new COH2 add on out tomorrow will not make an appearance in this sale?

Very unlikely. You might be able to nab a key from one of the various sites and use a voucher to get it a bit cheaper.

Not the game, but the control system. Completely unusable.

It isn't unusable, its difficult and unfamilar which is kind of the point in a game like that. Otherwise it would be a breeze to play and lose something in the process.

1 quick mod and you are all set, called DSFix, sorts out the resolution and other graphics options. Makes the game perfect, the best version :P

omg download speed is horrendous during sales.

i can live with lower speeds but as long as its constant.

Try changing the Download Region under the Settings > Download. If I remember rightly it will require a restart of Steam. I'm getting decent speeds using London, 7-9Mb/s on a 100Mbit connection.

Anyone played Pool Nation (€1.99) or International Snooker (€6.49) ?? Thinking of buying one, or maybe both since I did enjoy another Snooker game ages ago, just wondering if it worth it really.. :o

There really should be some distance selling cooling off period on steam/origin games. Some games are really disappointing.

The kids wanted injustice...

...so you sent them to bed early :D

"ba dum tish!"

I've been keeping an eye on the Steam sale and have been tempted, but nothing bought yet. Like many others here I have a significant game backlog (plus I haven't really managed any proper gaming for the last month or so) and I'm trying to stick with the rule of only buying something if I really think I'm going to play it.
