Steam Summer sale - 19-30th June

Bought Octodad: Dadliest Catch today. Haven't genuinely laughed so much at/on a game for years so I personally found it to be worth £4.

Also bought Payday 2 as well, but I've yet to play it because of my coal-fired internet.

Went rapidly downhill after 4 ;)

Went downhill after 2 :P

Train Simulator 2014
Downloadable Content For This Game
SHOWING 1 - 3 OF 174
Total Cost: € 1 228,49 (with discounts)

Blimey, don't think I ever seen so many "add-ons" for a game... wonder if anyone have them all.. lol

I bought TS 2013 in the sale last year.... worst mistake I made. Graphics are terrible, controls are so basic its laughable, all you get is one boring train and a meagre section of track, if you want an interesting train and a decent section of track you have to pay, pay, pay for more content, none of which was in the sale. Think I played it about once and gave up it was so rubbish.

Yes, it does have some dull moments but the whole experience was worth it in the end. The graphics are very pretty.

I thought about Alan Wake last year but decided against it it was a bit expensive, this year I thought it was worth a punt at that price, and I'm a sucker for pretty graphics.

Finally Assetto Corsa £15 :P, hell yehhh

Would you say its worth it? I like racers but its still a bit pricey for me.

Is Alan Wake any good?

Maybe a bit of a marmite one... I, like some of the others who've commented, got a bit bored with it. It is repetitive. It's worth a go if you're curious but I don't understand the love it gets. Maybe because it is at least unique.

Like most things, you'd really have to try for yourself.

The games starts well enough, but soon the excitement dwindles away and can lose interest very quickly :(

The gameplay itself does become rather repetitive after a while, especially by the finale of the "hospital" section, but the story itself is an absolute cracker. Even when I became rather bored by the whole flashlight-this, flare-that, dodge-light-shoot combat every few minutes I was actively pushing through it just to find out what happened next.

And then the ending...

Well, I started the game right over again in order to pay closer, more informed attention to try and figure it all out. It's an excellent piece of work.

Community voting is stupid. I only just joined the other day and it put me in green... Not a chance in he'll I'll be in a winning team.

Only ever since valve clocked onto reddit setting the competition to be fair for everyone. Go figure... Valve, rig something? Never...

Anyway, I'm now waiting for trials fusion to his the sales properly. Hoping it will be in daily or flash. But no guarantee so looks like it will be sat in normal sales until the last day.
