Steam Summer Sale 2016 set for 23rd June for two weeks

Heh, I thought you were talking about Skyrim for a minute. Go fetch this, go fetch that, dungeon, dungeon, dungeon, dungeon...

Don't get me wrong its the best thing I've played in a long time but there is too much of the above.

Id agree same can be said for skyrim to be fair, but it is miles ahead of KoA any day

End of the day, I love RPG games, there's no need to keep comparing KoA and skyrim.

As long as I'll enjoy KoR that's all I'm bothered about :) and for £5 I'm not losing much.

Cant decide between -

The Long Dark
Firewatch
Subnautica

Really fancy an exploration game and the feeling of being alone, which is the better one to go for? Can only buy one at the moment

I have all of these and think they each have their strengths.

Most alone? I would rule out Firewatch, it's a fantastic game but you have so much banter on your radio you never really feel "alone". Exploring is great though despite it not being a huge map, scale seems to have been adjusted. The story is excellent but short (4 hours)

The other two definitely make you feel alone, my personal favourite is Subnautica and if you are fine with constantly wanting to look over your shoulder (especially if you have a fear of dark waters), is a great game. It also has the most to explore IMO but is still early access. It also has crafting/base building.

Long dark certainly makes you feel isolated, but find the map too small to really feel lost but it has variety. It is the harder of the two to survive if you want a challenge. No base building but has some basic crafting.

The Long Dark has just been updated with more content.
Firewatch is a bit short and is more linear story based than free roaming survive type

Subnautica v good if you like underwater bases..swimming and sharks n stuff

Just got Subnautica as well - will load it up once the littleun has gone to bed! Was toying with the Long Dark also, but thought Subnautica looked more "fun". Got Darkest Dungeon on standby, as looks interesting if a little "grindy" and frustrating from the comments!

Darkest Dungeon is a hideously frustrating game but at the same time such a hugely rewarding one when you succeed against a game that seems to enjoy just flipping you off and making you suffer :p

I loved it but didn't finish, took a break when my elite squad were all mauled in horrific circumstances :p
