Steam Summer Sale 2017 - 22nd June

Thanks, just played this for the last hour. I was a little weary about the reviews having a good few negatives, until I read them over and realise it's full of people who don't like hardcore games. Pretty unfair reviews just because you find a game too hard to play.

It's punishing and it's a great game. I have played Dark Souls games though, so maybe I'm just used to being defeated for the 100th time :p.
Glad you like it.

Controls feel so tight. It's hard/rewarding.

Sometimes I'll pop it on to get some of those Hollow Knight feels lol. The environments, soundtrack and ambience I love tbh! :p

Everything is still cheaper on other sites.

Shame about Steam. As a platform it's alright but as a retailer it's really not working out for me anymore. Hate the new UI changes too, having to scroll through so much guff to get to the Top Sellers and Deals table, tonnes of early access (we called these demos and they were free). Meh.

Anyway I saw some games, Far Cry, Dawn of War 3, ESO on offer, and bought them elsewhere for cheaper.

I was thinking of getting prey... Still not sure if I'll enjoy it though, I'm a bit picky with FPS...

Depends what you like about FPS, Prey is closer to Bioshock in terms of feel and requires more thought than simply blasting everything in sight. It's not a bad game, although personally I'm finding it hard to get into. Typically I don't mind exploring but I'm starting to find Prey a little laborious.

So after buying Stardew Valley and Hollow Knight, I'm left with £6.16 to spend (I can go a a little extra if need be). Anything worth considering?

Current wishlist of possibilities are Axiom Verge, Hyper Light Drifter, Darkest Dungeon.

Also considered getting Cities Skylines for £5.99 and then buying the remaining games to complete my Valve Complete Pack for £2.08 (Team Fortress Classic, Half-Life: Opposing Force, Half-Life, Half-Life: Blue Shift, Left 4 Dead).

Anyone able to recommend anymore I can check out for <£10?

I refunded Axiom - didn't like it. Not played Darkest Dungeon. Hyper Light Drifter is awesome!

I'm tempted by Far Cry 4 and Fallout 4, and quite fancy Planet Coaster after reading things in this thread.

The Crysis and BioShock packs are cheap too. Never played them but tempted to pick them up. Both my Dad and Sister rave about them.

Also going to buy Wonder Boy III as I loved that on the Mega Drive.

It's not really an FPS, it's more of an action adventure game. I thought it was a great game, really refreshing in it's gameplay and I really enjoyed the exploration and looting. For me it felt a bit more like Deus ex (minus the dialogue) than Bioshock. Anyway I couldn't find any fault with it and give it a full 10/10

is prey a remake/rehash of the old xbox 360 games???

Just picked up Woolfe The Red Hood Diaries - review aren't great but it just looks so intriguing, can't go wrong for 2 quid I guess.
Also picked up What Remains of Edith Finch and that's definitely my last purchase... honest... maybe...
