Steam Summer Sale

Barely purchased anything. Was waiting on games to be £4.99 instead they were £6-7. For example Crysis 2, won't pay anymore than a fiver for it. Also street fighter X tekken never went on a deal. I guess will wait until winter sales. Still got many games to complete from previous sales.

Nice looking with a bit of aesthetic charm but ultimately a shallow jump around and solve some basic puzzles affair. Considering it was headed up by the dude responsible for Maniac Mansion 20 whatever years ago, I was expecting it to be at least more advanced than that.

Maniac Mansion had characters all over and through it and a story. The Cave has one character and it's The Cave itself and no story.


ps I would consider myself at least halfway to Double Fine fanboy.
 
Worth noting that Fallout collection (FO, FO2, FOT) is on stealth flash sale atm, -85% so £2.39 all in.

Overall the sale was personally disappointing but that is to be expected these days as like most people who have been buying there a long time I already had many of the games in the better offers.
Only good thing really was the free trading cards which I could typically sell for around 10-15p resulting in an additional small discount.

Dunno why you guys are disappointed with this sale, discounts not deep enough? Were there particular games not on the sale that you wanted?

Personally I picked up another load of games that will tide me over for a while, pretty pleased :)
 
Quick question guys, I have Skyrim, but no DLC. If I got the Skyrim Legendary Edition currently on sale, does my copy of Skyrim get 'upgraded' to Legendary + DLC? Would I be even able to buy it?

As it stands at the moment, it's cheaper to get that than the DLC separately.

I got it and played through it. Its a fairly short game as it is esentially the arcade game on the PC. Its all QTEs, just like the arcade game. You basically fight your way through the castle, kill the dragon and rescue the sexy princess.

At its normal price I probably wouldn't recommend it, but at this sale price I'd say give it a whirl :)
