Steam Xmas Sale 2018

and thats why i find it very silly to be busting out all that money on a beast PC if the market has very poor gaming choices out there, which it has

I have around £20 Steam credit for a present. Thinking of picking up CupHead and CrossCode. Anyone that has played either of these, what did you think?

Again not on steam, and I'm not saying buy it but Fallout 76 is £9.99 on CDKeys or less if you use the Facebook discount code.

Picked up Quake - 99p
Warhammer 40k DoW GOTY edition - £2.49
Super meat boy - £1.09 (I wanted it on steam)
Zoombinis - £1.74 (played this in primary school and havnt seen it since. Couldnt resist)

Picked up:

Assassin's Creed Odyssey
Dishonored
Far Cry 3
The Long Dark

I'm tempted to get Odyssey. I'm currently completing Witcher 3. I still have GOW + Horizon to play through. Do you think Odyssey beats those games or competes or is a tier below?

I played AC1 and found it SEVERELY lacks in the lore, world building and personality of top-tier games.

Tried Assassin's Creed Odyssey briefly, run like crap on the recommended settings on my GTX1080, dropping everything to high kept the framerate stable but honestly it looked pretty ordinary.

For some weird reason there are items in your inventory you can't use, that's just weird.

The controls feel weird as well, uninstalled and got a refund, I'll keep my money for something good that's actually been optimised. I'd rather play Black Flag again then play this.

As a fan of and having completed all the games you mentioned I also loved Odyssey. Yes it can get a bit cut and pasty in parts but overall a very fun game with an enjoyable game world and mechanics. It's not really comparable to the older AC games since they went in a new direction since Origins.

Thats bizarre, thats a better graphics card than I have and I run everything smoothly on max settings. AC:Origins and AC:Odyssey are the best 2 games of the entire AC series imo, and last year Origins was my joint game of the year and this year Odyssey is my game of the year. Different strokes for different folks though.
