I don't think it tastes enough like Stella for the haters to dislike it. Especially if it is because they think Stella tastes "chemically".

Stella, best mainstream lager.

You got all these crappy lagers, budweiser, carling, carlsberg. If we're honest they all taste like dirty water.

You can get some better lagers but most pubs don't serve them. Corona is a great example of that.

I agree 100% with you. But Stella doesn't taste nice.

I hope to god that was done on purpose (and I don't find Carling that bad, nor Bud. Drinkable when cold, which is more than can be said for Stella/Carlsberg).

I had bad memories of Carling being Lemonade style fizzy.

So I bought some carlsberg(non-export) green can stuff at Reading and oh my god it was nasty.

However, in the arena you can only buy Carling, so I did, and they seem to have sorted out the fizziness, as it tasted alright, probably going as far as nice. It was a bit of a shock.

Of the "cheap 4packs" it's between Carling and Carlsberg Export (nicer than standard) for me. They're not great, but judging against the rest of what's on sale, they could be much worse.
