Thank god thats over. It was a decent finale even with its cringy 'you're amazing' monologues still. Totally agree with everything mentioned ^ Waste of Linda Hamilton and I still can't understand wtf the military were even doing.

Haven't watched the finale yet but I thought it was pretty clear from earlier episodes, just the government being government like they always have in this and trying to make more kids with powers?

It's always hard to maintain a show after a couple of good seasons but this one is just a load of filler.

They should have killed off some main characters earlier on so it wasn't so packed in the end.

Too many irrelevant characters, far too may side plots, all the 80s nostalgia has evaporated, all the drawn out boring speeches. I’m struggling to get through it. Season 5 could be a different show. Dolby Atmos is on point though, I’ll give it that.

Well it was fine, very safe, some great effects and good character moments throughout. But plenty of flaws and pacing problems, as well as some plotholes that i'm not sure are plotholes but are likely setting up a prequel series imo. Still glad to see it finished and not completely ruined.

I didn't think episode 7 was anywhere as bad as the internet told me it was going to be. It actually made sense in the story.

Will watch the last episode later.

Season 5 has been hit and miss for me so far.

Great ending - rare these days as most shows finish up really badly - however this was good, fair play, they didnt ruin it !

Extremely meh imo. Very safe, very predictable, no real tension and you knew exactly what was going to happen. More bad CGI, cringe dialogue and awful acting too.

I wasn't hating season 5 anywhere near as much as many others but the ending fell extremely flat personally.

Now this is over I recommend people watch Welcome to Derry to see a show with a bit more depth to it's characters and a more interesting paranormal malarkey.

It should appeal to people who like the whole coming of age type show.

People keep comparing these two but one is on its 5th season after a decade and Derry has just started. S1 of ST was incredible too.

I feel like those people were hopeful for something more exciting than we got

The gang dispatch the big bads with relative ease, the kids are saved, the two people who said they'll die died, a couple of fakeout deaths and the military continue to be completely pointless, highlighted by the fact they just kinda let them go at the end despite killing multiple soldiers lol.

The only shocking part for me was Joyce going to town on Vecna's neck lmao

Must admit I perked up when Iron Maiden came on during the speech.

But far far too long. I looked to see how far into the ep we were when they ‘won’, and still an hour to go!

In fact, I’m typing this now with another 25 mins to go and I’m getting bored. What the hell else can happen!?
