not got one!! Got a home made job with siemitsu stick and sanwa buttons, but I made it too small and the stick is too 'clicky' for me to get away with using when the mrs is about.... :(

its true it is clicky, but a click you can rely on than before the mod :p
and also the octagonal plate gives it more clicky points now (it feels)

sanwa stick is also very clicky :p

did you get your sanwa parts installed? how do you find using the stick over the pad? i still cant get used to it after 3 weeks so im gong to sell it on to tbh

Can't get along with the stick yet however i know that the buttons are MILES better and i'm sure the stick has the potential to be just as good. I'm sticking with it and it is paying off... slowly but surely.

My sanwa stick is both clicky and squeaky!

If anyone here does end up selling a stick of some sort, give me first refusal, please. I am thinking about selling my Hori and trying one of these newer modded ones. Not really buying new games related stuff at the moment but if I flog my stick for 20-30 quid it should not work out too pricey. Plus I can justify it as I have probably put 100's of hours into my current stick already, so it will be going to a good home :)

Edit: Is it really sad that I saw this thread was updated and immediately assumed "more matches played, time to update tables"!!! ???

im finding it pretty good, though ive only had 2 decent session on the stick. im getting there, theres still execution problems and timing problems (getting lost with the buttons) but this will be gone within a few weeks.

im saying this to everyone at the moment but the main advantage i can see with the stick is that all techniques which involves the buttons such as kara moves, pianoing, double taps, pressing multiple buttons, slie inputs etc. are all only possible/much easier on the stick.

stick means you can take advantage of everything once you get used to it. if you dont make use of any of the advantages then pad is just as good and it becomes a preference rather than an advantage

lol dont know what half those things are, and i dont intend to find out

i think the reason i find it especially hard is because i had the pad button arrangement set as (and got use to it)

L1 focus
L2 throw
R1 PPP
R2 KKK
square light punch
triangle heavy punch
cross light kick
circle heavy kick

played for a good time like this and never used mediums

now with the stick its:

light, medium, heavy, PPP (punches) on the top row
light, medium, heavy, KKK (kicks) on the bottom row

i sort of get lost throwing and focusing as i have to use the left hand (not the right anymore) and also pressing buttons simultaneously, most the time i get lost in battle :o and on top of that i dont play as much some of you :p

i think if i started of with the stick it would have been a bit a different story

the default pad binds are actually pretty good, i wouldnt change them at all except maybe the position of some the shoulders, which i actually do.

if you use default binds then you can throw/FA very easily without extra binds because your thumb naturally covers them buttons at the right angle.

you definitely don't want to be giving up actual attacks for pointless binds like i see some people doing... all the attacks are too useful!

There's one on the MM atm for £100, plus I reckon you can get more like £35-£40 for your Hori.
