Street Fighter (SFIV, SSFIV, HDR)

So who else is upgrading to the new slim xbox and possibly has an elite for sale? I am tempted to pick one up cheap... just the console with SSF4!

is rose going to be your new main now Artheas?

i feel her ultra 2 is pretty good as it sets up a lot of dodgy combo, throws and strings. and cover her weakness of not being able to deal with cross ups.

Sounds like you know a bit about her, maybe you can give me some tips :p
I'm using U2 mostly as an anti-air on wakeup, and for corner combos. I can't handle pressure on wakeup well with her though. And i'm also not sure how else to use U2! I have used it for chip damage to finish off rounds, and also used it with her air grab for 'crossups'. But i don't think i'm come close to using it fully.

I don't have a main anymore, but she will be the char i use most for the moment.

Started playing as Balrog instead of Akuma/Ryu

The difference between playing shoto and charge are quite a lot! Hardest bit is holding charge all the time slowly getting the hang of it though. Headbutt to Ultra is a nightmare though, I can get the first hit to connect but the rest just whiffs leaving me wide open. More time in practice needed :(

not really lol.

i dont actually know what to do against her once she have to ultra 2 up. and everytime i tried to cross you up i got hit by that. because i know normally the soul throw, soul reflect, or c.hp couldnt hit me if i cross up, but this ultra does and you can hit me again if it landed.

so thats pretty deadly against me knowing i am jump happy. i cant really give you much tips, since you dealt with my chun li pretty well, before i started to rush you down with random up, down attacks.

you have to do upper, straight, and the rest uppers to get the most damage off the headbutt to ultra combo

Incorrect.

There are an awful lot of situations (opponents character, trade, opponent height, wall location etc) where PPKKK is better.

In fact, you should pretty much always use PPKKK until you learn the situations where KPKKK is better as PPKKK will always hit.

not sure why i do this to myself but decided to go back online for ssf4 but learn Ryu (and lose 1500PP points in the process - not that i care)
but had a game against some nash guy, beat him pretty comfortably he then messages me saying :: " all you did was kept jumping over me you dick"

dont think iv laughed so hard ever....i guess hes never heard of a crossup.

Chun Li was amazing in SFIV, except against the overpowered character like Ryu, Akuma and Sagat.

Now they (well, not Ryu) got nerfed and Chun got buffed, she's easily top 3.

Remember the Japanese aren't tier whores like the Brits and Americans, they pick who they enjoy using and master that character.

i almost got smashed up by a random noob t.hawk. not sure how is the match up 7-3 to chun li.

his annoying condor dive is not punishable on block unless i have super or ultra 1. i suppose i can stop his dive on reactions with d/f lk or s. hp depending on range, but i havent quite got the timing down yet, and its risky because one knock down can lead to massive damage with t.hawk. but i can see how the pros can dominate against hawk with her.
