Street Fighter (SFIV, SSFIV, HDR)

Even if Evil Ryu and Shin Akuma were playable, they'd probably be nerfed down a bit compared to the CPU boss version, kind of like how Seth is.

At least back in the previous games i.e. Alpha's, they were only selectable in home versions of the game, and I think tournaments then used actual Arcade PCB's so it wasn't a huge problem.

I just realised that the secret boss CPU Akuma you fight in the single player mode is actually Shin Akuma, it's just that the colour pallete look's like his normal form.

Ffs Adz man, you got so lucky in some of those games :(
For some *****g odd reason my stick is not working all the time when I block TO THE RIGHT. And that peed me off grrr :p

EDIT: Ok I need to train against Akuma though ;)

But my stick is still playing up whenever I block and jump in. Sometimes you may notice me jumping straight up when my intention is to jump back.

Kreeee - is there anyway to test if any aspect of the stick is playing up? Calibrating it or something so that when I press up/left or right it triggers both inputs equally etc?

Infact while Im at it. Whats the stick of choice atm :D ?

I did get very lucky on a few games which went down to the last round! Nice playing you and Chris again after so long! You guys need to get on xbox if you wanna play more often with tougher competition.

Just out of interest whats wrong with Evil Ryu? (Also who is/differences of Shin Akuma?)

(Are they marvel renditions?)

They're clones of existing characters, and pretty boring characters at that.

Whats with the migration to the 360 guys? Is it to do with this frame lag issue?

Online is far superior to the PS3 online.

Edit: Ah there's another page in this thread that I didn't see.

I still think it's just you Cav, the sticks will very likely either completely work or not at all as there's nothing complex in them.

I think Adz will admit that I was the more technical Guile player this evening. I even landed some good linking combos and I was even impressed with myself!

Anyway regarding the stick. I can definitely say there is something wrong with it... as follows.

I play against a variety of foes who fireball me from across the screen, theyre on the left side Im on the right side. Im holding down back and right.

AND YET my character does not block the fireballs repeatedly. And I can confirm my hand is in the down back right position (blocking). What the hell gives!

Now Guile can move right and crouch no problem, but when used in tandem on two or three occasions, it mucks up. And it is frustrating.

I was 2-0 against a 10k Ryu and because of this ****** problem I lost the match. Ridiculous. Im so close to raging and smashing my stick into my screen.

... for about 1 second :D

just find out some funny facts from the frame data.

i can hit ken's c.lk, c.lp, shoryuken combo reasonably well, which contains a one frame link (c.lk to c.lp) and a three frame link (c.lp to shoryuken, and yes i link it not cancelling it, that why i see me sometimes doing it too late).

but for some reason i cant do sagat's c.lk, c.lp, into tiger uppercut at all. which is supposedly an easy 4 frame link. i find it very very strange indeed.

thanks for the points btw arth
