I'm no expert on execution, but seems silly to 'link' the SRK if you're doing what i think you're doing. By cancelling it, you wont get it coming out late as you said. Instead, if you didnt link the lp before SRK, no SRK comes out, and you're safe.
It may just need a clean then. Although there are some faulty ones around. Tends to affect the early PS3 ones more than the Xbox version.The SF4 Tournament Edition Madcat thingy.

well i dont react quick enough to do that. i will have add another c.lp for cancels

I was the same at first, needing 2 jabs to confirm, then finishing with a jab -> dp. But afterwards, you'll gradually be able to react quicker and be able to do it with only 2 jabs.
