I've had Tiny and Time before. So BEATEN !
LOL Time and Tiny havn't seen one of those in ages. Are they still in business?
I've never even heard of Elonex.
Quick google search reveals that there is such a company and it sells £99 laptops, among other things. How bad can it be?
I purchased a Dell once. Beat that.
Unless your into modding and/or building your own machine there isn't much wrong with them.
Just get them to arrive with no OS installed, so you don't have to swift through all the crap that they install on their machines.
We use Dell's in all of our offices, and they comprise of about 8/10ths of all our servers too.
Out of around 50-100 machines I'd say only one has shown a BSOD in the last three years... and it's still going.
If your building it for gaming, and want to upgrade it in the future... then fair enough, stay clear.
For Mom & Pops, they're fine.
Thats exactly it, Time machine, Tiny, Dell and Emachine, all good machines for the non tech person.
However, I hated the lack of upgrade options available, With those machines, You literally pay out of the nose, for something with no breathing room
the main 3 problems with prebuilts are restricted BIOS, trial software clogging it up, and not being able to upgrade it much. but if the trial software is removed the other 2 problems arent a problem for people who arent intrested in gaming/overclocking.
putting my wang into a delta fan..
That's going to take some beating.
Stupidest thing you have done with a computer?
*Raises Hand* I have also flicked the voltage switch on a psu, maybe we should make a club or a support group or something![]()
